Morecambe FC

Morecambe FC had until 5pm today to be sold or would go out of business, due to running out of money.

No news has been communicated regarding a sale.

So it looks like it could be the end for them.

Very sad to see any football club go under.

RIP Morecambe FC.

Ned must have misinterpreted what was written ? Everything closed at club no staff working no insurance deadline passed suspended until 20th August kicked out cup competition.. for some reason won't sell to punjab warriors owners who say are willing to pay off the debts. So it's close.

Their website say no cash in bank! Some staff working but everything is closed down to academy ..

They have until the 20th to prove got money to continue otherwise they'll be defunct from league!

Whilst reading about them another interesting article about the amount of foreign and personality owners who are investing in all sorts of non league clubs.. New Bedford investors have fortune that will have Premier league clubs looking on with envy! Promoted last 3 seasons ...

Fingers crossed for them, Ned. I saw it on Sky, and their staff and supporters have been working hard, despite not being paid (the staff) since May

Another ‘old’ club falling on hard times and I sincerely hope this is not the end for them!

Just to add dheff wed will fulfill their fixture Sunday against Leicester... they have A 15 man 1st team squad .....
