Takeover review by Concerned Cardiff

Following on this morning’s usual bluster from a club chairman who needed GPS navigation to find his way to our stadium. A few pointers that our esteemed press ( Mehmet Dalman’s unofficial PR agency ) dare not mention

Cardiff City representatives put the word out that Tan was willing to sell.

These groups didn’t miraculously all try their luck. They were approached .

Three different consortiums / groups ( as confirmed by Wales Online ) have all been in negotiations with Tan and his ‘ advisors ‘ .

One of the groups have been in talks for several months, and no matter what Dalman’s minions in the press and Trust regurgitate they have been to Cardiff for advanced talks, and a takeover was provisionally agreed.

The rumours that have been rubbished from the start were always valid.

Anyone who believes otherwise that’s their opinion.

Did anyone ask Mr Dalman today was he part of a potential consortium himself? Not that he’d ever admit it but wouldn’t his extra curricular ‘ advisory role ‘ to Vincent Tan then be a serious conflict of interest when possibly two other groups were vying to buy Cardiff City FC

The only ‘ fiction ‘ again is out of the mouth of an exceptional politician. Looking through all the comments online the majority are still rightly suspicious of what drivel he spouts. Will we ever get the same interest again after word gets out that Tan ( Dalman ) has led serious backers around by the nose, or is there still more to come?

We know Dalman talks shit.

I believe completely what's been said on here because it's come from a source I would trust.

But the season has started so my attention is on the football and I'm pleased today.

Not going to let all this dampen my mood.

Annis, my worry is the fact there is suddenly a feel good factor around the club.
Potential new owner (South African buzz)
BBM using homegrown lads.
Optimistic fan base.

All while he remains at the helmet

He's deluded enough to think it's all becuase of him, and may want to hang around for the feel goods.

i thought agreement had been made with dalman ?,
and the SA were meeting up with Tan in London ?.

in his statement he says all stuff about club being sold is fictional ?

Re: Takeover review by Concerned Cardiff :

I think we all wish Tan would sell to the ones that... want to invest in Cardiff, we could be massive and competing at the highest level along side of Liverpool and Man City, will it ever happen, time will tell, at the moment GREED is taking over with Tan and Dalman, and Cardiff are suffering for it.

Re: Takeover review by Concerned Cardiff :

No way would I want us to lose any game. But today has probably made a sale less likely.

Tan will think we can gain promotion without spending a penny.

Let’s hope we don’t miss out on the chance of new owners.

Could be wrong but swore he said he wasn't involved in any consortium he said Bale otto and another bid but not him and was fantasy in radio Wales interview after game ....one minute it's no bid looked at then there was serious bid they looked at.... why would 4 consortiums suddenly all together make bids if not encouraged to?

Re: Takeover review by Concerned Cardiff :

We feel a bit like a lesser Man Utd at the moment …

When things go well on the pitch, the majority will just happily nod along without looking at the bigger picture. They take the spin of Mr Dalman and ignore the failings across the club, from retail to commercial, because we’re winning a few games. Long term, for the club to achieve its potential, Tan has to go and we need new investment and structure. Denying the existence of consortiums, while admitting to bids, is no more than I expect from the politician at the top.

Yes the club looks rosey .. but we looked unreal vs Plymouth under Riza and we know how that turned out. I believe BBM is a far better coach than that, but that shouldn’t hide the failings of the club outside of it.

It’s funny we are either told nothing, or we get told utter bull by that slimy git Dalman. Tan is just a plain idiot, but I think I dislike Dalman more as constantly just lies.

Annis do you think everything was in place for a takeover and someone’s advised tan not to sell and hang around to see if we get back into the championship

Sam,

Tan 100% had a change of mind at the last minute.

Apparently he did this last year as well and I got that from one of the persons say with him today.

It was stated today in the meeting that Tan wants £100m for the football club and isn’t willing to accept less. It was also confirmed they felt some parties (likely Bale’s) were attempting a hostile takeover, putting pressure on the owner through media and fans, in the hope it would force a sale at a reduced price. Dalman has a lot of skin in the game, rumoured to be in the region of £40m .. I’m likely to trust people like Annis and Tony, with nothing to gain, over someone who has continually bent the truth. His role is to keep things calm and divided. If pressure comes on all to move on, they likely all lose a chunk of cash .. or that is my assumption anyway. It was very calm today, I heard little to no “Tan out” or “Board out” comments. Job complete for the chairman, I would think.

Why does Tan want to keep torturing us , wish the 3 clown cnts would just take the hint and fk off.

Re: Takeover review by Concerned Cardiff :

Is it Dalman and Choo persuading Tan not to sell because they are robbing the club blind and have it easy here ? Tans family want him to sell he should listen to them.

Re: Takeover review by Concerned Cardiff :

Agree with the majority of the posts above. The bit I don’t understand is Tan himself, and at this point I don’t think I ever will.

I get he wants as much cash back as possible, but we know revenue will drop this season. More so than it has the previous. If we take the last financial year, we’re being subsidised at roughly £15-20m a year. Given reduced revenue and outlay, you’d imagine it’ll be similar again. So he needs to gain 20m more from a sale in the championship to break even. We know he won’t put the cash up for a promotion push, so what is he hanging on for? Unless the bids are considerably lower than his 100m estimate, and I mean in the region of 30-40m on the whole, what is his benefit. The club will only be worth £100m plus in the prem .. that’s obvious

Going by radio Wales the amount money needed to buy club Inc dalmans 40m is 120m so that's the amount you'd figure tan wants .... so 50m is not going to work ... but by end season that will surely rise by10m and going up will not persuade buyers to come running for any more than 130m... if an want to deal with tan after this fiasco.

Dalman said, in his meeting with the Fan boards and club staff, that Tan wanted £100m. Can’t say I listed to his radio interview, I’m tired of the political answers. We need to accept we’ll never get sold if Tan just adds his debt every season to his personal valuation. We’re worth £40m, maybe £50m at a push now. £50m-60m in the championship.. I would guess. I just can’t see the valuation jumping 30m plus via promotion. Either our cost cutting this year will see us end up fairly even in terms of cost, else I don’t understand why he’d spend £15m getting promoted, just to try get it back in a sale. All very strange.

Re: Takeover review by Concerned Cardiff :

The Media have forgot to print today that Dalman finally admitted Tan pulled out of a deal at the the last moment in the last couple of years.
