BBM Doubters

I know BBM wasn’t a lot of people’s first choice, including my own.

Just wondering if he’s started to win some of you round yet before the season starts?

I get most will rightly judge him as the league starts but feel he’s done a good job so far and speaks well.

Let them doubt him. Looking on here and beyond here, so on social media as well, the response of the fans to him is overwhelmingly positive.

Some people won't ever praise him because they've made it their mission to criticise everything he does. I find that quite sad really.

But they are very much the minority and I hope that I'm wrong, I hope they do give him credit - but don't count on it.

He wasn't my first choice either but when I took a deep look at him and his career in football, it was the appointment that made the most sense and I'm both hopeful and expectant that we will have a good season.

You can’t blame those of us who are cautious about this type of appointment as it fits in with so many recent short lived and ultimately failed appointments.

I will be right behind him on Saturday, I will chant his name. Fact is nobody knows how he is going to work yet. we will get a good glimpse on Saturday, but 10- 15 games including cups, is when we truly know what kind of manager we have.

Open minded, will be watching closely, will be supportive, wish him all the best, and fingers crossed we finally have a manager who has a promising career ahead of him. It will be a first under Tan.

My Big Doubt is that Murphy needs 4 New players , Quality / Tough and know this league.

I'm always optimistic at the start of a new season as are most people & I see no reason not to be the same this year. I wouldn't get an early bird citytv international pass if I wasn't.

I see no reason to not be optimistic with the new guy either.

Too early to say but he speaks well and the team certainly look a lot more organised. From what ive seen he is an upgrade on Riza (yes the bar is very low with him)

Don’t think you can make a proper assessment on him until after 10 games. Pre season is only pre season and competitive games will be completely different, especially in League 1 where many of the teams will want to turn us over.

Speaks well and comes across well but he can only do so much. With 0 players coming in so far, if he’s not backed from above then I don’t see it ending well. I hope I’m wrong but the squad isn’t good enough at the moment. I fear we’re a couple of injuries away from having real problems. Teams aren’t really going to be playing pretty football in League 1. It’s going to be physical and a long season with a inexperienced squad that’s short of a leader

The difference in style is there for everyone to see and so far I like what he is trying too do However I can see why people are cautious Much is being made of his time at Man City. He has been head manager once which did not end well
I would think most fans hope he does really well and time will tell Remember someone saying Riza would take us up So i can see why caution is most fans attitude currently

I'm warming to him pre season shows we will be more attacking and he speaks very well in the media .

Haven't seen riza in pre season I am making my judgement on what I've seen in preseason we press higher up the pitch big deal defensively we haven't changed a thing from being relegated bottom of championship with worst goals against 73 imagine 73 goals conceaded? So stand judge me on backing him on preseason as I've seen no change except pressure from the front with pressing

I thought we needed experience this year.
We've tried a few rookie managers over the years, and another one seemed a risk.
However, just like every other new manager, i'll give them my support and respect and let the results speak for themselves.

There’s a very broad and healthy range of opinions on here. A lot at the close of the season saying we need need an experienced manager, knows the league nothing else. Ramsey is to inexperienced he didn’t achieve noting in his first 3 games that was it for some on Ramsey. Now it’s get behind him experience not needed 10-15 games plus a preseason to judge. We are hardly constant as fans to say the least.

The guys our boss the proof will be in the pudding after a good amount of games. As mentioned above our defence looks no better so far, hopefully he’s working on that and it be all settled after 3-4 games. If we have 4 points after first 5 games still way to early to panic and call for his head he needs longer to allow his mantra and tactics to bed in.

Because of what has happened at Rochdale since, I still say that he did a good job there. Nobody could have kept that team up and they actually very nearly stayed up which would have been unbelievable.

I can understand people being cautious but I do believe some have decided from day one that they won't give him credit if he does well.

Thankfully it is a very small minority.

We'll get a better idea after Saturday's game, good talker, but the defence looks a mess so far, he's got a lot of attacking players so we should do well, if he can get them playing.

Woecester I will back cardiff till I die I have heard some many false dawns so excuse me for be abit held back on the appointment of an inexpreinced manager again!! Hopefully this time it works but only time will tell first games of the season a game against a side we should be beating at home no? Anything else I'm sorry isn't a good start I will look at hoe we doing after 10 then finally 15 games I will give my backing ot not depending how we are doing top 5 by then not good enough I'm cardiff fan that deserves better

I was in Spain for the friendlies and from the sidelines never heard a peep from anyone, I am worried by the lack of leaders especially against a non league team

What we do know he has enough to have coached at a very big Premiership club and in recent times where they would have employed only the best coaches and skills with intelligence. Does that deliver a perfect Manager, god knows ??

Agree we will wait and see before we commit bbm to being the next best thing!!!

You have to give BBM a chance weather you for or against him - before a ball is kicked .

For me - Hope we start off well and again we need to add to this squad before the transfer widow closes .
