IF TAN STAYS WE NEED TO PROTEST

Wed Jul 30, 2025 2:04 pm

This cannot go on if he thinks we can go for promotion again like he said last year and the year before with what remains of last years squad who got us relegated minus 13 players shipped out and none in .Roll up Roll up
The circus is back in town.

The best way to protest is by boycotting the games.(even if you have a season ticket).Epty stadium on sky will show the whole country how pissed off we all are. This club is dying and we can all see it happening! :bluebird:

The team need our support but might i suggest 10,000 fans marching would be better upfront of sky tv cameras.

I would say

The best way to protest is get down the stadium
Make noise and be a 12th man.
Get behind that team and support.

When the game is over, stay 12mins and keep chanting

Song tbc!

Totally agree Monty.

Back the team but let Tan know what we think.

Re: TANS STAYS WE NEED TO PROTEST

No amount of marching will have any impact on whether Tan decides to sell up. Like it or not he is the owner and he'll do what he sees fit to protect his business. He must be acutely aware of what the fans think of him. To believe otherwise is extremely naive.

Tend to agree. If he takes no notice of marching type demonstrations, then all that's left is boycotting matches.
Obviously, most won't go down that road as fans miss their football too much.

Disagree
Nothing like keeping up the bad press and the visual of thousands of fans marching against you, with your name plastered on banners etc Tan out.

Unfortunately I think I have to agree with moodyblue. I doubt tan cares what the fans think which is the whole problem. He will go when it suits him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s moved the goal posts to piss is all off.

Not many will like this, but maybe some admiration towards him, tickle his belly get what we want by giving him what he wants.

P.s absolutely no guarantee this will work.

Tan is belligerent, he will shut himself off from protests etc
The only thing that will affect Tan us money, no criwds no sales if m rterchandise etc
Trouble is too many gave paid for season tickets
We are fukced.

If we play like we did last season the crowds will soon drop off in fact rapidly fans have had enough sh.te over the last 5 years, and with tan still at the helm it's a recipe for disaster.
I say to myself he is surely going to sell, as we have signed 1 goalkeeper hardly an assault on promotion feel sorry for the manager with no backing it sounds familiar.

I can’t see many of our fans protesting they never do,win a few of opening games and some of our fan base won’t mention tan then usually happens

It tickles me how some on here think they know how a Malaysian billionaire business man thinks.

He couldnt be further away from the average Cardiff City fan if we tried.

My opinion... protests work in every scenario. Its a method of demonstrating frustrations from the average man (us) to the powerful man (Tan).

Some of the tripe to why a protest wont work, are nonsense.

Nothing changed. Things are worse if anything. Fans seem more polarised than ever. We less of what’s going on then ever.
We getting played like fiddles.

But 100% us and a billionaire are from different worlds.
Protests work in some cases but the city is hardly ever in the country so I doubt he cares less, he probably laughs at us.

He’s holding all the aces. And we don’t even have a card unfortunately.

Tan absolutely hates bad publicity and if the demonstrations with bigger the publicity would be bigger against him.

It’s better than doing nothing.

If Fans want to do it, they should not be criticised, it’s up to them and well done to them.

We are here again with fans saying it's a waste of time while watching their team last season fall out of the championship. After over 20 years, would you be happy to see us drop another division not saying that we will, but most did not think we where been relegated last season.
If we are having new owners fair enough but does anyone want another season like last ,we can see already that we have no new recruits this season 2 days from kick off that's not backing the manager working with what's left of last seasons squad .
But I would have hoped most fans would want success and an end to the circus ring we are in, and also made to look a laughing stock to other football clubs and fans.
Apathy killed us last season and sadly a lot of fans just gave up stayed and home or went fishing on a Saturday really not bothered.

Or holidays missing end of the season.

To touch upon what you mention above. My favourite times support Cardiff were being taken from struggling at the bottom of div 4 up the leagues when taken over by SH. Great days fans united and true hardcore city fans. I’m sure you remember it roundly. Very much like the great times Wrexham fans are having now. You know I’d love to ride the ride again so relegation again really wouldn’t bother me, Tan loses even more money we regroup under new owners and go on a journey up the leagues.

I don’t like playing in the premier league it was awful full of fake fans. So wouldn’t want us to as successful as we were under Tan.

This is going to be the best season for years and Tan will disappear of his own accord soon enough. I’m not against people protesting if they belive it’s right which it may well be. But it’s not for me on this occasion as I don’t belive in banging my head against a brick wall.

Can’t wait for port vale. Proper Cardiff away day.

Apologies for the cheap shot.

Hopefully he’s gone soon because at the moment he’s beating us.

Re: TANS STAYS WE NEED TO PROTEST

We need a different type of protest, something unique and attention grabbing

Marches are brilliant if the numbers are there. Many fans will not march however bad it gets.

We need EVERYONE on side, even non footy fans that may get affected by a march.

Unfortunately a protest needs to be simple and easy for people who make no effort.

An empty arena is a message the club ownership will see with their own eyes.

To avoid affecting the team, we could have a 19:27 protest. No one enters the stadium until that amount of game time has passed.

No effort for those who don't like to March, the team get support, the ownership see it and more importantly the media will take interest as it is unique and newsworthy.

Afraid the only way is to NOT go, it’s hard I know and most won’t do it but it’s the only way things get noticed. It should have happened last year but instead it was “back the team, they need us”….that went really well hey! :o
Tan just sees 20,000 rock up, a few moans and chants after the final whistle, nothing really…..

Monty this is a must
We protest again n again until he goes ,
Starting after the game inside stadium ,
Tan out , get the fuk out of our club
Cardiff city fans wake up

Re: IF TAN STAYS WE NEED TO PROTEST

There is no way we would get Tan Out/sack the board banners into the CCS.
However there is no reason we couldn’t get them in at away games. With a few on sky in the first month, away ends behind the goal. They should get media attention. Tan Out!

This is a great idea. Really would get the media attention which is well understated at the moment.
Think johnnyL is the leader.
