A forum for all things Cardiff City
Wed Jul 30, 2025 12:25 pm
This Saturday morning will meet all Heads of Departments at the CCS.
Then will meet the Media.
Then will meet Cardiff City Supporters Club, FAB & the Trust.
Chairman Dalman is expected to finally announce there has been 3 lots of Bids on the table for Cardiff City this season and others over the last couple of seasons.
But it’s also expected he will not give to much away and say they are being considered.
Dalman has been forced in to this position due to, so much coming out through different sources and even the media and Bale himself.
The three different offers have all been genuine.
It’s now thought Tan might even give this season a go as he believes he can get us promotion with this squad without any money being spent.
Remember:
MEHMET DALMAN:
“VINCENT TAN THINKS HE KNOWS ABOUT FOOTBALL HA HA HA.”
As Dalman laughed his head off.

Annis, up til the last 2 lines I was thinking that this sounds good.
Are you thinking that Tan may decide to have one more go or is it just rumours?

Apparently Tan had a very very good offer last season and at the last minute he changed his mind.
Honestly No one can tell what’s he is going to decide next.
And he also has it in head we will go straight up on a virtually Zero budget.

Promotion with the current squad, and no money, I don't think so.
Wed Jul 30, 2025 12:48 pm
That last bit is stupid even if go up is he going to spend the money needed to keep us In championship? If we don't go up then he's not going to get what's been offered now! Besides he won't get any credit or adulation from fans and why should he ? No his time is up now take the money and quietly go into the sunset and city's history

And failure to go up means all best players will 200% leave div 2 will beckon unless he take big hit financially as dalman won't thats for sure..... He'll be a fool not uo sell up now at price he wants.

I'm actually on the club's side.
Can't say too much but I hope they do acknowledge there's been bids.

Ned,
They won’t say all the truth and nor would I if I was in a middle of a big deal.
So yes I agree with you.
Dalman will never ever tell us till it was actually done anyway.
Tan does worry me though.

Tan has said every season we are getting promoted, and does he think he can get us promoted with what remains of last years squad which got us relegated and after 13 players have gone and non in .ffs the circus is back in town
Protests will need to start all over again but this time with 99.9% of fans on board.
Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:24 pm
FFS what is happening at our club? I was looking forward to a new era, don't tell me that's not the case now. Get out of our club VT. You've done enough damage over the last few seasons.
Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:34 pm
All speculation and rumours at the moment
There is obviously something happening in the background but NOBODY on this forum knows what exactly is going on
What I do know is yet again we are weeks behind other teams with our signings, planning and preparation for the season
Tan needs to fcuk off because he is basically an idiot
Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:39 pm
What is the point..........of even going up if we still have Tan at the helm.
Talk about ground hog day.
This club continues to just suck the life out of you as a supporter.
Light at the end of a tunnel.. sounds like we haven't even got a f*cking tunnel.
3 days to the start of the season and its the most deflated Ive been since May !!!!
Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:45 pm
This saga cannot continue under Tan, we will be in league 2 next season and worth even less. The current squad isn't getting us promoted imo. Tan has no clue about football, which has proven time after time.TAN OUT NOW!
Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:50 pm
Its what I have feared about Tan staying on.
The costs must be right down. What will he be losing each month? Then again what ever it is he will be able to get that back with the selling of Salech.
What a windup.
Wed Jul 30, 2025 2:12 pm
I've got my season ticket once again.but i don't fancy it this year with Tan and Choo(they make me sick). This club is dying right in front of our eyes!!
Wed Jul 30, 2025 2:25 pm
Its Gone from dalman meeting fans representatives to Borley choo and dalman meeting club managers media and fan representatives? All just to say we've had bids for club and Tan may stay on for "BIG" promotion bid and that's it?? Gets more & more confusing by the day because quite frankly they could have issued a statement with Borley addressing staff separately.... if this is all thats going to be said dragging choo and dalman to club is daft and pointless.

Let’s wait and see before prophesies of doom and gloom. It may be good news that lies ahead.
Wed Jul 30, 2025 2:28 pm
I reckon Tan has three options. First, he could try to push for promotion this season and hope that success boosts the club’s value, making it easier to sell for more next year. Second, he could sell a majority stake, over 51%, but keep a minority holding, banking on more professional owners to take the club up, then offload the rest of his shares in a year or two at a better price. Third, he could sell the club outright now, take the best offer on the table, and be done with it, leaving things in the hands of whichever bidder is willing to pay the most.
I think he may stall a few weeks to see if the first is possible, fail, then look at option two. This isn’t likely to move as quickly as many are hoping; there’s a lot at stake, he holds all the cards, and he’s notoriously cautious and slow when it comes to making decisions.

But apparently he's been given what he wants so what is point of holding out and gambling on getting promotion got absolutely nothing to gain but lot to lose

I don't believe he's been offered what he wants; otherwise, it's great news, and he accepts, and the sales process starts. I can't see things being that simple, can you?
He has three offers that could be structured in multiple formats of varying amounts, and the opportunity to play them off against each other and see how this team and the new fancied Manager perform. He's got millions riding on the outcome so will want to milk it for as much as he can.

Which really makes Saturdays events non sensicle ... what's the point of arranging meetings with media staff and fans just to say we've had 3 bids something we already know unofficially? As i said Borley could meet staff and fans .......the media do not need to be informed of anything as club could simply put out statement outlining what's happening... if this was anything else than city you could say it was to announce takeover of club? But its city snd anything is possible.
