Callum Paterson

Ex Cardiff City player Callum Paterson has signed for League Two club MK Dons.

A bit surprised he couldn't get a lower L1 club.

Don't think he's good enough for a top L1 club but someone further down the league could have taken a chance on him.

MK Dons have spent a lot of money for league 2, brought Aaron Collins in for 800k, signed a midfielder for Stockport who was starting for them last season. Aso brought Mendez Lang in, I believe they're odds on to be promoted.

I would have welcomed him back. We desperately need characters who will lead by example with grit and fight.

I'm shocked he's dropped down to League 2, as Sheffield Wednesday offered to extend his contract to keep him.

He had another bad knee injury, but he won player of the month in February, so at 30 years old, he still has a lot to offer. A brilliant signing by MK Dons.

Loved him when he played for us but I'm not a fan of bringing back former players, rarely goes well.

I also think he'd be totally unsuited to the manager's style.

But I agree that he's too good for League Two.

Callusm Paterson is a really good reliable character, one of my favourites when he played for us.
