I think he would be an ideal signing for us but there is no way we could afford his wages or persuade him to drop down to League 1. Maybe if we had new owners maybe.

Not a chance.
He scored 18 goals in the Championship last season and is going to Ipswich.

What is the point of this? Obviously he be ideal for us He was 1 of best players in championship last season.
But as you say can't afford and wouldn't come.
