Exciting week ahead with transfers

Sun Jul 27, 2025 7:51 pm

From Inside Clubs (very good track record) on Twitter/X:

Exciting week ahead for Cardiff City I’m else to believe from a transfer perspective. GK will arrive with CB,LB and a winger lined up.
City have been forced to wait with targets on tour / clubs seeing if better options from a loan perspective

I'm not sure about the new goalkeeper. His goal scoring record is awful.

I certainly hope so.... It is so desperately needed. Thats good news.

If they have been on tour and played then one would assume they are match fit? If not we are going to have to play a waiting game for them to get fit while other clubs steal a march.

I maintain it should have been sorted a while back and the boards reluctance to make an appointment has left us playing catch up.

I would have hoped we would have made signings earlier. But not just for the sake of making a signing. If the manager wants to wait a bit longer but get what he wants I’m all for that, he’s the boss.
As for playing catch up we were a championship club last season, we don’t have to play catch up with what we got.

On a serious note, he never played a game for West Ham (his first club) and he does appear to have moved around a lot since; but I’m putting my faith into BBM knowing the players he wants

As an aside, I notice this is a ‘loan’ move with an option to purchase next season for a reported fee of £1.5m

Is that a sign of things to come (this window) and of the possibility of a club takeover?

It certainly would make sense! :ayatollah:

Sooner the better, as we've left it this late.
Hopefully with the experience and quality we require! :occasion5:

Well it’s possible that we could start the season without a single player coming in and a squad of 13 players less than we finished last season with

That has to be some kind of record surely??

Wednesday afternoon now and apart from the goalie no mention of any other potential incoming players.

And tan staying and going with what we got minus 13 players.

Vincent Tan

Has learnt not one f*cking lesson about how football works in the entire time he's been involved in it.

How on earth has such an idiot been so successful in his other businesses?

We had to cut the wage bill and the only player I'm bothered that we've lost is O'Dowda.

The squad was far too big and had to be slimmed down.

Rather do it this way than sign 12 has beens.

We'll walk this league without any signings, we've the best striker in the league by far and the best midfield trio in the league by far. Arguably with Lawlor the player who can go the furthest in the game. At least we're signing a keeper which was our biggest problem area. RB is the next place to strengthen and maybe left back, and if im being greedy a winger. I'd rather wait for BBM to identify the right targets first rather than make sure we've got people in for the first game. The window is open for another month yet, and majority of big clubs haven't even identified who's available for loan.

Going to be a big day today then!

Will all the signings be revealed at the same time?

Has anyone checked the new registrations at Howells school?

Any athletic looking chaps been spotted at Greggs by the stadium yet this morning?

Can this week possibly get any more exciting for new transfers?

It’s a tough job being a city fan.

As exciting as measles!

I did see a tanned chap by Lidl,
built like an old fashioned centre half.

Right on the door with his arms folded.
Looked confident.

New captain maybe??!?

I'd say the opposite we won't walk this league or anywhere near walking it unless we invest in the squad and fast but let's hope your right . :bluescarf:

I agree that we won't walk the league, don't think any team will. Unlike you I do think we'll be top six at least though.
