The 3rd Bidders?

Sun Jul 27, 2025 11:57 am

Everything I've seen says there are three groups/consortiums in to buy cardiff. We know about the bale and gary otto led bids so who is the 3rd bid from/led buy?

Re: The 3rd Bidders

Thought Dalman was the other one

Who knows?

Rumours that Dalman is involved, but as of yet there is nothing to support this theory.

Just given up! Take today got 2 different stories as to what's happening and all contradictory to what was said previously ? All the fans want is someone from consortium or club to simply say takeover is progressing further updates as and when required! It's that simple..... as of now don't have a definitive takeover is happening other ghan on this forum? Whilst dont doubt the credibility of what's said it is not from official sauce .

I agree Allan.

There are a lot of conflicting things being mentioned, and I agree with what Abergavenny stated yesterday regarding the ‘timing’.

I find it extremely hard to believe that a deal of this magnitude will be delayed because of ‘timings’.

The schedules of the super rich are super busy, so coordinating a time and date which suite 10+ people is not going to be changed at such short notice like that.

A few days ago it was ‘nailed on’ apart from Tan signing on the dotted line.

Now today, there are questions weather the SA consortium have ticked all the boxes.

One thing that really makes me think that the information is in relation to the Bale bid.

It is said on here ‘Tan is not happy with Bale because he mentioned publicly’

It is as if people on this forum have a hotline to Tan.

There is not a single person on this forum that knows what Tan is thinking. There is not a single person on this forum that knows what conversations have been had behind closed doors. And there most certainly isn’t a single person on this forum that talks to Tan.

I really want a takeover to happen. Preferably sooner rather than later, but too many times have we been led down the garden path by someone like Igovenor

One possible explanation for the non meeting is tan moved goal posts? Now this nearly always happens with football takeovers ncastl Everton man u sheff wed to name few have all had owners move goalposts when deal was apparently done! What makes our takeover unique is that there is no news on ssn ect never known that on other club takeovers.... May not get full details but always had news of them ? Don't buy into Tan likes privacy do nothing is said! this concerns fans not buying the co-op..... plus people I believe know more than they're saying which adds to the frustration.

Great post mate.
The fact there’s no hint of anything in the media is strange. I would have thought a journalist somewhere would have picked up on these and I presume they governed by rules that they have to fact check. ?

I really hope it’s true about the take over.

I really hope it’s true about the take over.

In terms of the fact checking by the reporters etc, earlier last season the overlap podcast had a massive transfer guru, David ornstein or something like that, a very well respected journalist and he said him and the other journalists never post any reports until it is proven by two different sources otherwise it is just gossip.

Not calling anyone a liar because I have no doubt that people have been told what they were told but when they have only had one source, so its is not likely to be facts. However I actually don’t want to discourage them telling people what they hear as that’s part of the excitement of a forum like this, sometimes they’re right and can take the plaudits and sometimes they are wrong so will take inevitable keyboard abuse off people who believed them. Just the risk they take giving the information but it gives us something to talk about and get excited about.

So for in this situation for that Ornstein guy for example would have confirmed, the South African visiting for negotiations as this was said from a source and then the other source would have been sky scanner reports confirming the plane, however much else is only one source so wouldn’t have been reported.

On a note he used his main examples from his sources would be like an agent and then confirmed with that respective club, so maybe expect this situation could be the Dalman meeting which will hopefully be the second source to confirm these rumours :bluescarf:

I didn’t think IGoverner had said anything about the SA buyers. But, saying that, tbh there’s been so many posts I’ve lost track of it all.

He hasn’t, I’m just saying as an example, I’ve lost count of how many players Igovenor has said have basically picked up the biro for it to run out of ink as they are about to sign, for want of a better reference.

These are very big boys playing big boy games.

IMO, nothing happens without a reason. Bale publicly spoke at a film premiere with loads of cameras, why? The second delegation has been dealing with Tan for months, and then it locally "leaks", why?
Tan isn't selling us on the cheap because of the fans; we are probably his lowest concern.

Cardiff City is a big enough name even in L1, and Tan has been around a long time in his pantomime villain role to garner national media, but it's absent.

I am getting on enough to know that nothing is without a reason. I do not doubt the information strategically leaked; it's not a fantasist making it up, but I always question why. This has been locked down for months.

I live in hope, but remain sceptical until a major outlet picks up on it.
