Great day...we battered them from train station to the ground,and in the ground....loved it...and the great war machine FRANKIE had to pay twice to get into ground that day..police threw him out,,and he payed to come back in....That guy is a legend...saw some stuff with Frankie...Top man

Yes i was there, how someone wasn't killed that day i've no idea, thankfully football has moved on.

My dad was one of the linesmen on the game, bob bank side. He said it was the most frightening but exhilarating experiences of his career.
I was there from 12.30pm sat in the directors box watching the madness unfold.
There was a BBC camera crew on the field and one of the crew was waving his arms telling both sets of fans when to charge at each other so they could film it.
I also remember that the police had temporary holding cells outside the grandstand which filled up quite quickly.

Hated them then and they came from everywhere to give the mancs a welcome...they thought they where the best....But city battered them everywhere...boy did they have a shock....No soul crew then,,,just Frankies army....ha..ha...The city fans came from everywhere to welcome them....And i still hate them.....
