Whether it's a contract extension, agreeing on a term option, or a new contract...what I can say is that nothing has been agreed or arranged.
The club does not know what it is doing in these latter stages of separation. Decision makers are no longer making decisions and what's worse? I'm understanding the attitude is now simply one of 'I don't care'. Hopefully this is due to the fact that a sale is imminent, but then again our current board has previous.
There are contract offer(s) on the table for Dylan Lawlor. Am guessing if somebody at the club don't pull their finger out he'll be gone.
To the current board at this tense time of negotiations and with a potential deal/sale/goal in sight please don't let the clubs carcass rot.

The club have left it too late, they're to blame.
Said elsewhere by someone that if you were Lawlor's agent you'd advise him to wait. I agree with that.
If he does well at the start of the season then he can increase his wage demands and if the club don't offer it, he'd be able to get it elsewhere.
There is no benefit to Lawlor or his agent agreeing a new contract now.
He will bide his time and rightly so.

I think it's criminal the club has let it get to this stage I think lawler is our best prospect since Ramsey
How ever I think that Lawlor will hold off until January now, a solid half a season proving he's as good as we all know he is will mean in January when the club is under a more competent ownership he will sign a bigger and better contract than he would be able to now

Just shows how unprofessional we are.

without saying too much, enquiries were made for him about 2 months ago from other clubs.

Hopefully that will all change soon.

I don't understand all this speculation.
He was listed in the club's retained list which must mean he has at least 12 months remaining on his contract.
He can't legally have contract offers on the table as we haven't agreed transfer fees with anyone.

Then nobody knows his contract situation then as I know that he had received at least one contract offer from a Top European club.....

yeah so as it stands no club can offer him a "contract" During a players last year on contract, January 1st he can be offered contracts from clubs outside of his nations league . (e.g. no club from england can approach him, but clubs outside of england can)
If my memory serves me correct, an attractive "Austrian" club did make an approach about 2 months ago, but club were asking for quite a hefty fee for someone untested.

What club mate?

People are correct, the extra year was triggered.
So his contract runs until June 2026 and he can't speak to other clubs until January.

Dont want to sound an ass, but I'm not at liberty to say the club. I've been told the contract has been seen and was also given a very high level overview of its contents.
The person who told me... .is absolutely somebody who would tell the truth, and certainly wouldn't tell stories.

Nothing to do with Cardiff then I guess if they tell the truth

Sorry Jonny, but this post is absolute rubbish.
Lawlor is under contract with us until June 2026, meaning that he is unable to talk with other clubs until at least January - unless a bid has been accepted by the club.
There are three potential situations here:
A - City have accepted a bid for Lawlor. Doubtful.
B - You are doing the typical ITK post ‘I have information from a very reliable source but I can’t tell you who or what’
C - You may have a contact who you think is reliable, but is actually full of shite and is making you look like a bit of a fool.
Either way, surely you know he can’t be offered a contract by another club unless City have accepted a bid.

Lawlor is not allowed to talk to any other club in the world without permission from city...unless he is doing so without approval and in breach of his contract

I think that offers from abroad can only be made in January.

Yeah, if there’s 6 month aprox left on contract teams from abroad and Scotland can sign him.
