Bales consortium making a third and possible final bid.

Wed Jul 23, 2025 3:57 pm

I was informed of this from a source, but how true it is I don’t know, Bale is refusing to give up on his Cardiff dream being involved in the ownership side of things.

Two different types of offers are put forward, one involving Tan remaining a shareholder but 20% or less, one with the full ownership in mind with the consortium.

Tan was apparently very upset with Bale for going pubic on a possible deal and ruled out the offers so far and warned him not to speak to the media again, if Tan is to listen to any further offers from the Bale consortium.

Could be complete rubbish, just putting out there what I have been told.

How much is he offering this time?

A couple of bags of crisps?

I don't think Tan will entertain a Bale bid anymore and I actually don't blame him one bit.

His last one was disgracefully low, buying just Salech would cost more

Total non-starter.

They have not officially ruled themselves out of the bidding, but clearly not the front runners it would seem and from what other fans are saying also, will be listening to Annis at 7pm, will be interesting. :bluebird:

I do not blame Tan one bit if he doesn't even talk to Bale or his people.

That last offer was a disgrace and they should be ashamed that they think Cardiff City is worth that.

His bid was around 40m but who knows what the debt situation would be? I doubt they offered 40mil and to be debt free. Unless you know something we don’t?

Recent reports suggest it was a lot less than that figure.

If it is to be believed (which I do), then you could just buy Salech for more than what the Bale group offered.

I have been consistent on here in saying I was never ever convinced the Bale bid would be successful. And rightly so.

I must of missed that. What was the rumoured bid they put forward?

Let's say Tan wanted £120m for argument's sake. It wasn't even 25% of that what they offered.

It was a disgraceful offer and Bale should be embarrassed that he was going round the media saying it was fair.

Didn't help himself by doing the media either, that was just going to annoy Tan. I don't believe they were ever really in the running and still aren't.

This other group, as has been said, have done things the right way. They have shown respect to Tan which, like him or not, you have to do if you want to buy from him.

The 3rd bid I believe has been put in, the good thing with the earlier bid is Bale spoke on it, so we know something happened, he was told not to do that and he has been quiet since and they are still in this, if the bid fails through I have no doubt Bale will talk to the media again, and say they are out but until then, or the club is sold to somebody else of course they are still in.
