MY VIEW " MORE SIGNS OF PROGRESS "

An enjoyable watch today.

Good workrate and movement of the ball.

Speed we won the ball back was good to see.

A good workout against a Championship team.

Rubin the best player on the pitch again.

Only a friendly but nice to still be unbeaten in pre-season.

First half was very impressive.

Robinson and Rubin scored for us, Rubin's goal was top quality.

Lawlor very good.

Also impressed with Turnbull.

QPR got a goal back with a great goal of their own.

HT 2-1 City

Wintle had the ball in the net early in the second half but it was ruled out for offside

QPR made it 2-2 with about 20 minutes to go

FT: QPR 2-2 CARDIFF CITY

BBM was constantly walking up and down the touchline and giving instructions.

Our high press was brilliant, all players working hard.

Moved the ball very well too, miles better compared to last season.

Looked confident in possession.

Notts County up next on Saturday in the final pre-season game.

Rubin was best player on the pitch Lawlor looked so comfortable as well Our fleucy went when Chambers went off
Pressing especially in the first have was excellent and Rubins fitness levels looked very good indeed
One thing is clear we need a few quality wide men who are able to deliver a cross quickly and with accuracy Thought our wide men were poor today with their play and especially with the crossing which was very poor in my opinion
For a preseason friendly overall very encouraging

Enjoyed that, think we look very dangerous going forward and very aggressive in the press

Wintle did a great job in the 6 today

Rubin and lawler and turnbull the stand out players for me, lawler looks likes he's played 200 games the composure he shows

All signs look promising and I see no reason to change my 4th place prediction for the season

Yeah I should have mentioned Wintle, did well.

Quite like the trio of Turnbull, Wintle and Rubin.

Turnbull has been so unlucky since signing. Messed about by Erol and injured at rhe wrong time with riza.

He’s calm on the ball and can pick a pass plus can strike thr ball well for set pieces

He’s a good player and I really hope he can kick on from here

Yea that midfield looks well balanced and should dominate most other midfields this season

Robertson turnbull rubin was my thinking at the start of pre season sadly something had obviously happened with Robertson, I dunno 8f you can read much in to him being an unused sub today maybe bbm is saving him for Saturday's game

We were easily the best team , not sure the goal should of been disallowed, we pressed high and played some nice stuff .

A comment about Robertson from BBM at the start interview
Made me think that BBM wasn’t a major fan.
Hope I’m wrong but I think Robertson may go.
Hope he stays, he’s still developing and BBM the right man to do it too.

His numbers at Motherwell and Celtic are very good, I felt like Bulut and Riza played him too deep he's always been more of an attacking midfielder.

Dare I say it the player he reminds me of is the late great Peter Whittingham in the qualities he has in his toolbox.

I'm expecting a big season from him he's too good for this league if he stays injury free.

Trouble with Robinson he does like to impress incoming managers , then it wains .

He obviously has talent but probably thinks thats enough to rest on

BBM said today that the players who didn't play today will get close to 90 minutes on Saturday.

I assume that includes Robertson.
