No one get to worried when it goes quite this week as:

The next turning point is they will be doing due diligence .

To see that their are NO Monies owed to anyone else and searches etc etc

Plus remember Tan has had so many court cases and managers etc etc being paid off all this will have to be looked at etc.

If they are happy to agree terms ,then, if the Club has given them the “true” financial information , then there can be no reason for it to fail .

Have said before what Gary Neville said when they restructured their ownership at Salford a few months ago.

Took 6-8 weeks for the EFL to be happy.

So it will take some time to go through that but as long as this bloke has his money through legitimate sources then it shouldn't be an issue.

EFL now don't only check that people have the money but where the money has come from.

Probably similar circumstances with most take overs

I'm sure if if all things agreed the new owners can put in certain amount of money before completion know it's been fonr previously.

I am thinking we sound to far down the road for it to be reversed or scrapped ,
I am all for pushing for a 25,000 attendances feel good factor.

Not in the clubs interest to lie about anything because it will come out in the next faze ..so if the club wants to sell then all should of already been shared. Just hope we dont go out the frying pan and into the fire .Hope the new owners are decent

Sir Jim Ratcliffe's acquisition of a 25% stake in Manchester United took roughly 13 months from the announcement of the Glazer family exploring strategic alternatives for the club to the completion of the deal. The formal process of Ratcliffe's bid began in January 2023. The deal was announced on December 24, 2023, and completed in February 2024.

So it could take a while, I'd guess months rather than weeks.

All very positive at the moment though :ayatollah:

Bit of a difference trying to buy utd to city... :o but expect 2months to completing sale but we are long way down line so used up time already!.....but once get to due diligence stages testing it's usually a formality

Agreed, but ask Sam and Ridsdale, Tan is not easy to deal with, I'd imagine it will take six months, if it's done by Christmas, that would be rapid.

It's complicated with Dalmans' interest and all the court cases.

It's still great news and it does seem like it will get done.

Certainly patience is needed.
In the meanwhile I can't help thinking that this will affect the current recruitment of new players during this window.
If so, we'll have to be prepared to accept and get behind the current squad with the knowledge that a takeover is likely later in the year.

Not sure theres comparison with Sam risdale as dalman issue sorted already...... all need is bid accepted and that looks likely this week! unless tan moves goalposts that can happen .... oy delay really is efl checks but if Gary otto is involved already part owner of efl club so he'll know the score b couple months will see things done to completion if not sooner ....
