It seems the South African group are leading the race and by the sounds of it, on paper they have more money than the Bale led group, but we have not seen all the details regarding that but seems to be the case.
For me hopefully the Bale led consortium is not dead yet, I personally would like Gareth involved within the football club in some kind of role, he of course has some much smaller business interests within Cardiff as a city, and expanding his portfolio investing in businesses now in a wide range of sectors, seems to have a good business brain outside of football, and I feel he will be successful in business and his net worth will continue to grow.
Anyway, a club is only worth what some rich cats are willing to pay, and seems the South African consortium are very much leading this race, and either one of them will be great to get over the line! I don’t know why, just hoped it would be the Bale led one.
Anyway, the good news is, this seems to be making good progress, and we are getting closer to new owners who want to revest large amounts of money, and try again for the Premier League dream.

Fair Enough, I work with Americans daily and over the years I have been asked a lot about Wrexham, from many different parts of the US, I speak to them about Cardiff, and they have no clue, but Wrexham over the years have built up a big USA fan base, drives revenue and they can spend money and stay within FFP rules etc.. depending on the league they are in, but I understand it can be a circus like you say.
If done well like Wrexham it can be a huge benefit in the modern day to any football club, I don’t think Snoop Dogg will have the same effect but more people will sadly know where Swansea is off the back of it, and it will drive some revenue of course, but Wrexham have the well liked film stars and now have so called fans all over the place, so it can build a huge brand.
Still hope for Bale personally, but none celebrity owners with lots of money, will do 100%![]()

Great the publicity helped, gutted seems Bale won’t happen, but excited we look to be getting close to something very well financially backed up, with a chance of good progress.

Bale said he thought the offer was more than fair. So god knows what these South Africans have offered.
