The striker situation:

Yousef Salech may prove the most important player in the squad.

The Denmark-born striker has caught the eye in pre-season after a promising end of the season in a blue shirt.

He is rightly seen by many as the key to a successful promotion campaign, although it's difficult to dispel the notion that clubs higher up the ladder aren't looking at him. Keeping hold of him will be paramount.

Callum Robinson, if he can stay fit, offers proven quality at this level and beyond.

Behind them, Kion Etete faces a defining few months. The 23-year-old signed a new deal last term but has yet to truly convince and already supporters are desperate to see improvement in him.

Barry-Murphy will hope he can kick on — but Cardiff’s attacking success might just depend on Salech staying fit and firing — or staying at all ?

I thought Robinson would leave but going by the videos the club put out in Spain, seems he's happy to stay. Injured at the moment though.

I think Salech will obviously be first choice. Robinson as back up and there will be a young loan signing as well. The fact that Isaak Davies and Ashford can play there means we'll have enough numbers.

Salech needs to stay as he is by far our number 1 striker at the moment .
