Brian Barry-Murphy:
"My whole ethos is I want to take the club forward.
We'll be adding specific players that can enhance the squad, that will be part of the process.
We're very excited about the players that we have in the building. But we all want to be ambitious in taking the club forward in every department.
Adding quality rather than quantity will be a big part of that as we zone in on specific players with the profiles that we believe can bring the way we want to play to life."

Steve Morison must have left his "Book of Cliches" behind him.
Players "in the building"?
The injured players will no doubt be "back on the grass" as soon as possible.

Reminds me of the Malky era

What do you want him to say?

If he replicates Malky I won't complain.

I’m all up for using youngsters but we definitely need experience as well.
A new keeper should be priority and wing backs.

Remember seeing a Scotish midfield player for Rotherham called Jamie Lindsay (29).
Thought he put in a great shift and got "stuck in" to opposition and remember thinking could be a great player for us.
Just googled him and seems he left Rotherham to join up with ex rotherham manager at the "Gas" in 2024.
Bristol Rovers manager was replaced and Jamie Lindsay did not get much game time under new manager (why?)( attitude? injury?)
Looks like he left Rovers (mutual agreement and is a free agent).
Ex Scotish international and has reputation as "hard man" ? (Captain)?
worth a look for league 1 and we have a good record with Scotish players.

I think players will have to leave before we see anyone new coming in. One in, one out basis unfortunately. If Tan is selling, he's not going to fork out any money more on transfer fees, signing on fees, wages etc.
Fingers crossed that he sells us with plenty of time left in the transfer window.

Even if he does decide to sell it will be months before the FL has carried out their checks & balances and the sale actually goes through and the new owners take over.

Yes you're probably right. We can realistically right this window off and hope a sale is completed ready for the January window. And hope BBM and this squad are good enough to keep us in contention for promotion until then.

Yes, we need to get some experience in the building and on the grass, otherwise I'll be sick as a parrot.

As much as I want it to happen ( sooner rather than later). I get the feeling Tan will be owner for this season in hopes we get promoted and in turn will put our price up.

That’s just how I see it. Given that, he’ll need to support his manager. Hopefully, the delays are simply down to the fact it took seven weeks to appoint someone who wants a completely different type of player than what the transfer committee was targeting. We’re probably also waiting on clubs like Chelsea, Man City, and Leicester to decide which players they’re loaning out to League One – which likely won’t happen until a week or two before the season kicks off.

I disagree with you both. He has offers on the table from 3 groups. If he wasn't going to sell this summer but instead try and get us promoted, he'd be buying players before now. Yes he's a rubbish football club owner but he's not stupid, he does know what's needed to give us a chance to get promoted.
