U21 players Will Spiers, Morgan Wigley and Charlie O'Brien have joined up with the First Team squad out in Spain

This is very good to see, need to see how these guys react and cope with first team players and get some good preseason experience.

I have not seen O'Brien play, but Will Spiers is the type of player that will suit the alleged style of football BBM plays. I have also been impressed by Morgan Wigley the few times I have watched him. It is an excellent move to get them out there to see what they can do.

I think most of us would agree with that, but with the ongoing rumours about a possible sale of the club, I’m not sure it’ll happen. That’s why we need to have a solid Plan B in place, starting with preparing our youth players to step up into the squad. In the past, we’ve relied too heavily on Premier League U21 loans, and in my opinion, many of them haven’t been any better than the academy lads already on our books. We gave other clubs' players the opportunity to develop, while neglecting our own.
