No Alnwick?
I would have preferred him over Horvath but will get behind EH if that's the managers decision

Looks pretty strong to me, we could do with a GK, and a few more given the amount of games we will likely play this season, with the extra cup competition and starting in FA-CUP round 1, but there are some very solid players in there, many at this level would love to have in their squad, some massive chances this season for fringe players, and make or break for many others.

That’s quite a Strong Squad, just needs a Leader / Captain and two tough experienced lower league players

A player that doesnt get mentioned much on here who I think could end up being really significant this season, especially in league 1, is Ryan Wintle, he was playing ok for us until he fell out with the manager, can’t remember if it was Bulut or Riza, but went and played 20 odd games for millwall on loan last season so cant of been that bad.
Could he be the general in midfield that we all think we need, there is definitely a better player in there than what he has shown us before, with the right motivation from BBM he could be key this season.
I know there are posters on here that have said they dont rate him that much, but this is league 1 now, i think he will shine.

Agreed re wintle. Plus he’s already shown he can do very well at league 1 level anyway. Potentially a very important player.
It’s a long tough season so he will be invaluable imho.

I think this is a good squad.
Interested to see how they adapt to the new system in these games.
I don't expect them all to stay and I expect a few signings, but there is the basis of a good squad there.

Yes, Wez. He’s home working on his recovery

13 academy graduates in that squad
For a club that produced virtually nothing for a decade we could potentially have 4/5 starters from that group come the 1st Div 1 game

For me that is currently not a promotion capable squad The additional players we get will be vital for us to be in the promotion hunt

Such a young team, it will lack experience but we should be able to run some teams off the park, with the energy.

At a professional level there will be little difference in energy levels between a 20 year old and a 29 year old
