There will be signings

I have to laugh looking at this forum sometimes.

People are desperate for every bit of news to be a disaster.

O'Dowda was always likely to go, it's been rumoured for weeks. Robinson will likely soon follow. Disappointed that O'Dowda has gone, but it's no surprise.

None of the other 11 players who have left would be first team starters, with the possible exception of Goutas but he was always going to go after Bulut did.

All this "12 out and none in" would matter if it was the end of August. But it's the start of July.

Has been clearly said (although some have decided to shut their ears to this) that the new manager changed the recruitment strategy which is why there's a delay in new signings.

It has also been said that new players will come in. People just have to be patient.

The squad will be built between now and the end of the window.


But I guess some are never happy unless they're moaning about something.

I never expected a big influx of players anyway I feel we have the nucleus of a good young squad in the making

We've not even played a pre-season friendly yet! There's lots of time left. If we haven't signed anyone by the time we get back from Spain I might get more twitchy but people need to chill out. O'Dowda is disappointing but far from a disaster. Keeping Salech, Robertson and Fish is key. Thats your spine of a promotion side at this level.

I'm with you annis early days I admit but losing our better players for who usually there's rumours about now who we signing I think we don't need to sell clinque is just that a clinque spun by our new coach time will tell whose right whose wrong

Maybe I am wrong but I suspect that there will be very few signings until the club is sold.

Wasn't the whole team said we needed goalkeeper as the two we got not really good enough I said if and when they sell selech hopefully we get 10 mil when and if we sell Robinson sell for 5 to 7 mil and spend that money on replacements said I'd get rid of chambers where does he play? Centre half modfield? I'm not sure ng well he's injured so nothing happening with that where does that say whole team? 5/6 players at most and only if selech and Robinson are sold a big if although I've heard rumors as I live in London that Millwall are interested in selech just something I heard here not saying it's true BTW just a rumor

but we are not the man city academy.

I don't think this squad is up for the fight so we will struggle in my opinion without a few experienced battlers brought in. We have a number of players who I would regard as soft. The majority of our midfield went missing the end of the season.

I wish I could be optistic but heard this so many years watching the city tune never changes only time I believed was when warlock came to us then I believed what he said since then so many managers have come and gone all saying the same thing sorry prove it so far I've seen nothing

I considered O'Dowda as one of the players I would like to have stayed. Unfortunately, he's gone.
My concern is that we don't lose Salech, Robertson, Colwill or Fish.
Sure, if we keep them, we can build a team around them, but if we lose one or more of them, I'd be surprised if we replaced them with equal or better.
Only time will tell.
