Updated CONFIRMED: “ TAN HAS RECEIVED NUMEROUS OFFERS “

Fri Jul 04, 2025 12:28 pm

Updated:

Sky Sports:

And Sky Sports News also understands that there are other, higher offers on the table to buy Cardiff from Tan.
It remains to be seen whether Tan will accept.

THE TIMES:

The Times claimed that the Bale-led consortium had tabled a £40m bid, while Sky Sports today suggested it was a £20m offer.

Cardiff City sources including Chairman Mehmet Dalman have confirmed there has been interest from Bale's group, as there has been from many others —there are other interested and well-funded parties— and there has been a letter of intent also.

Their are strong rumours and from inside the Club, Offers have ranged from £40mill -£85mill and Vincent Tan is finally considering.

If people think this is toxic, if Tan turns down bid after bid, and continues to feed us crumbs from his ivory tower then, he will see what toxic really is.

According to radio Wales sport today there is very little chance of tan selling to anyone unless make offer he can't refuse! The earliest likely to sell is after sala case is concluded probably at end of year...

I fear what will happen if the Bale sale doesn’t come off.

At the moment there is a lot of apathy towards the Club because of how it’s been run. Goutas’ leaving interview was a great illustration of what’s happened to the spirit of City fans and the club in general.

However there is now hope and if this doesn’t come off, it will plunge our club into further (who thought it possible) difficulties.

An interesting article on BBC today saying about financial backing of Bale v Tab. Tan has roughly x 10 the wealth of Bale, so the so-called investors will have to have deep pockets but more importantly, a deep understanding of how to run a successful football club.

As far as the debt to Tan and co being such an issue, sales of businesses are done on a cash-free debt-free basis normally. So the debt can be written off (with big tax benefits to Tan if doing so), so it’s not a major hurdle as some will proclaim.

I tend to agree with you PA.

If Tan wins the case hopefully he will ease his selling price. I doubt it though.

The Case can totally be separated and virtually already is.

I’ll never understand what goes through Tan’s head.

If he wanted to sell after promotion, that makes sense, but…you have to invest in the team properly! Something he won’t do. He thinks he can cut costs, do on the cheap and get success. Not going to happen, especially with little football knowledge in the boardroom.

Tan is a selfish narcissist and it wouldn't surprise me if he turns down every bid made just out of spite

We need to make ourselves heard at every opportunity this season let the dictator know how we feel

All cardiff fans need to step up now not just the same few each time

We used to be such a proud strong fan base who wouldn't take shit off anyone it's heartbreaking to see what we have become

TAN OUT!!!!

Maybe separate Annis but if tan excepts an offer below his valuation and looses court case he's out pocket by a lot... obviously there are ways around this but would the consortium be willing to pay 100m to cover in case tan looses case? Yes tan is being unrealistic with his valuation because can't see independent valuation being as high as his?
That's why no easy solution as people are thinking it is.

Genuine question Annis. How is it completely separate as it’s the club that has made the claim against Nantes?

Tan is the club, with shareholdings, he can immediately change anything on anything if he wants to.

He use to have to answer to shareholders like myself and has over the years devalued us, so he answers to NO one.

He’s already instructed a company if his to take the case on and now are virtually controlling the Civil Case.
