Loosing quslity players like Ramsey Ralls and possibly o' dowda would need to be replaced with "quality" players not just some kids from some academy no one has ever heard of.

Monty we are in div 1 so supply of quality replacements is going to be tuff... Best hope is bbm & Co know what they're doing and can put together a team not like last seasons debacle? A lot will depend if keep our best players and its looking good at moment as dont expect movement until nearer start season there's been no firm offers just gossip about o'dowda ect...

Like I said in another thread, I don't believe those that have gone will have been key players this season.

Also the squad needed cutting, it was far too big.

Both Ramsey and Ralls had 23 appearances. That means both were unavailable for half a season.

Both had poor to low impact on games, within the poor appearances.

Both are high earners.

I'm a massive fan of both - now was the time to say goodbye to both.

We need a Ralls type player, but the Ralls of about 8 seasons ago. Not the current version.

Ramsey and Rall's contributions last season were negligible and neither will be missed. We needed to get rid of under-performers, which we've done. It's up to the new manager and his team bring in players to freshen up the squad and get us playing as a team again.

Bloody he'll worcester are you on a wind up i said we need there standard of quality ffs banging on about last season, ralls has been a good servant for many years and a quality player ramsey has been at the very top of his game even if we sign a few tried and tested older players in loan to get us out of this division .

I agree we need a couple of experienced players and I'm confident we'll sign them.

I'm honestly not bothered at all about the players who have gone.

I don’t think it should matter what age a player is or which academy they’ve come from — what really matters is whether they have the talent or at least the potential to succeed.

One of the main problems we’ve faced in recent years is placing too much trust in so-called “experienced” players while overlooking our youth. This hasn’t just been down to poor management decisions, but also the attitude of some fans. Week after week, when people post their predicted teams, you’ll see the same names included regardless of form, almost as if certain players are undroppable.

Gone are the days when we brought in genuinely exciting talent like we did under Dave Jones. We need to rediscover that mindset — to seek out hungry players, whether they come from our academy or elsewhere, who have something to prove and the energy to push us forward.

This season should be the turning point — a chance to back younger, hungrier players and stop clinging to the idea that only “names” can do a job. Let's build for the future, not just patch over problems with familiar faces.
