Spanish holiday August 2026

Good afternoon. My mother in law has kindly offered to take the whole family to Spain summer 2026 for a big holiday. I’ve only ever booked for me and one other before so have no idea.

Does anyone have any good tips at all please for location etc or a good site?

It’s for 6 adults and 3 kids and we want all inclusive if possible.

Only 4 of us when we went but the Holiday Village in Ibiza was great. If you book early there are free child places available too but not sure how many can come under that. Good flight times to Ibiza too but the place was great, especially for kids. Loads going on all day, a huge football pitch and footie academy and also high ropes, kids clubs, paddleboarding, water assault course etc.
Food was decent for all inclusive, 3 restaurants on site too which you can book as part of the all inclusive, once for a 7 day stay or twice for a fortnight. San Antonio (no longer a big party place) is a 10-15 walk or there is a shuttle bus running all the time too if you fancy a change.

I worked and lived in Seville for a couple of years. That place is worth looking into.

Unlike other resorts in Spain that are purpose built for tourist Seville will give you historic Spain and a real picture of genuine Spanish culture. I know there are inclusive hotels there but I never had to use them.

It’s really worth looking into.

Lovely hotel in Benidorm called The Solana.
Well managed by a lady called Joyce Temple- Savage and a couple of top notch bar tenders called Mateo and Lesley.
Cheap and cheerful, can't go wrong!

Loads available just do research on trip advisor for hotels/resort reviews etc.
Also gran canary islands also good options. Great water parks etc as well as good hotels

Tenerife mate the plenty to do for kids and adults reccomend siam park tyou and the children will love the rides and the man made beach lorro park is also good and the markets for the women.go to siam park on a weekday though it is quieter then

I live just south of Alicante in a very popular place called Quesada, its a lovely area

Tenerife, i'm here as we speak/post, my second home something for everyone.

Majorca. Short flight, brilliant value for money. Both East and West coasts are fantastic. Palma is an excellent European city to dip into for a break from the beaches, also.

I'd second Tenerife also. Can't go wrong with the northern strip of resorts close to the airport.

Take a look at Cala'n Bosch in Menorca.
Easy 2 hour flight from Cardiff airport.
Lovely couple of beaches, perfect for families and great bars with restaurants all around a lovely harbour at the centre.
It's classed as a family resort, with no clubs that I'm aware of.
We had 2 great family holidays there.
