It seems odd that players are shipping out etc I get that contracts run out 30/6 but other teams are strengthing to enable players to gel in preseason
We seem to be weeks behind everyone else .
we could have a scenario when they go to Spain when they come back half could be gone

It's not odd at all...gets them off the wage bill for us and new clubs they are training with immediately.
Players who have gone out are not good enough for city...patience

Not strange at all.
Also worth pointing out that Plymouth have lost Ryan Hardie and Luton have lost Carlton Morris. Important players to both of those clubs.
We haven't lost anyone important, not yet anyway. The only one who could be argued as important is Ralls, but in reality he wouldn't have played many games.

I think what the OP is saying is we should be bringing players in sooner rather than later.
But I think there will be a delay especially if BBM is changing the transfer policy.
But the delay is down to the clowns who wasted time over the manager vacancy.

There must be all of 20 transfers in div 1 completed so far got long way to go before window closes ..... but looking at what's happening it seems to be players leaving rather than joining three relegated clubs... suspect loan deals are where we will need to be savvy but in good position for getting better players/youngsters in.
Ps we are in div1 not championship things happen differently in div1 & 2

There is a difference in respect of the quality you can attract and money available but the Op made a valid point about
Getting players in earlier to gel and adopt the policy BBM wants to instill.
Agreed the window doesn't t shut til end of August, but league starts a month before.
If we want to make an impact in League I would argue that we need to hit the ground running, just my opinion

Your right about getting in early but easier said done we are not going to pay championship wages to entice players to drop a division so will just have to have patience the task at moment is to keep best players....you could do a plymouth and buy players before manager is in place Risky if doesn't fit in with a new coach? Think it's Sept close window with season starting in August .... like said think loan market is where we could benefit as more appealing than other div 1 clubs...not sure having new coach in earlier would made much difference we are not in championship so lower down food chain of players available

Agree with most of that Allan

Thanks one going noticed is people are still thinking we are in championship! Things in div 1 & 2 are different in relation to players we are down the pecking order so can't just say go get him if he's on 15k+ a week got to wait our turn if want decent players really need to see where we are closer to start season.. like said we are in better position than most clubs in league.
