Callum Robinson !?
Robinson is now on £20,000 per week due to Citu being relegated :
BBM is working within a very low strict budget .
Robinson is injury prone .
On strictly football terms BBM wants Robinson to stay and both would be happy with that, But because of his high wages
and injury history …..Robinson is actively being touted to leave .

His workrate is shocking, he never tracks back and vary rare does he help/encourages other players. If this new manager wants to play a hi tempo game (as is suggested) then count Robinson out, i wouldn't miss him for one minute.

Let him go. Has the wrong attitude. I overheard him saying to Will Alves, who had just said how much he was enjoying being at Cardiff City and getting some regular first team football, finally feeling like a senior player for the first time in his career, that you don’t want to be a senior player at Cardiff City.
Cutting down the enthusiasm of a promising youngster who expressed an interest in staying on another season. A terrible role model and club advocate based off of that conversation.

If that’s true, and I’ve no reason to disbelieve you, he can f&ck off.

You only need a few bad eggs in the dressing room, bringing moral down and your on a looser straight away.

My View would be if he wants to stay, and we don’t need to off load him, we know we have a player that will get goals! we can’t just bank on Salech doing it in a 46 game season with cups added to that, I know Davies and Ashford will be a threat next season, but seems we have already let two forwards go out on loan, he can play a few different roles also.
Personally, I don’t really care if he is not the hardest working player on the pitch, goals win games and opponents seeing Callum’s name on the team sheet, will know they have a threat on their hands.
So, hope he stays. Can’t argue on the injury side though but rather have him then not, unless we are planning a big money signing to replace the goals he will bring.

Are you serious. Have you seen the joy and pride when others score always there first pointing to them in front of the crowd like a proud dad.
What I think you mistake his attitude for is he gets frustrated with the players sometimes because they no where near his level. Because he is a true winner and wants nothing less. If they all had his winning mentality we wouldn’t have been relegated.
He is a must stay for me. First name on the sheet when fully fit.

Based on an average Crowd of 15,000 per week and on the premiss that we can spend 60% of our turnover on salaries - We should be able to afford £20k per week easily
Based on those who have already gone I think we are hovering around 25% of SMCP at the moment - with around 35% available.

He is there to score goals he does that .He is the best finisher in the club and will always score goals .
I'd like him to stay at the club he's a good experienced player in my mind
Sat Jun 28, 2025 11:14 am
Three seasons and 18 goals later, I think he is such a specialist player. He can't play back to goal, he has visibly lost a yard of acceleration and 2 yards of pace, he is good at finding space, and if he doesn't have too long to think about it, a great instinctive finisher.
I think he is probably a top-end L1 player; he just can't battle enough for a lower championship club. I'd be surprised if any club would pay a fee for him.
Tremendous sub to bring on. Keeping him and Salech is a demonstration of intent.

So because he smiles when we score he's first on the team sheet??? As stated his work rate is very poor, he also missed almost half a season through injury. If he's that good let's see who comes in for him and would they pay the wages we were paying him.
Sat Jun 28, 2025 1:33 pm
Thankfull for his goals but his work rate and attitude at being subbed off are extremely poor. Time for the wage bill to improve by offloading his services elsewhere unfortunately.

He is way too good for league 1 so should be kept. Simple as that

Lol. He more than smiles he’s worked with them and he sees his work paying off also he’s was our top scorer and only 5 other player in the league scored more than him. Imagine how many he would have got in a team that match his level of expectation and ability. He over achieved with a bunch of powder puff players. ?

Keep him end of. How old is he - 29? With the right service, I believe he'd bag up to 20 goals this season.
He spent all of last season in a team playing rigid, dull, crab-ball, with very few good chances created - that's why he got frustrated #strikers graveyard
As for his higher wages - why would any supporter get hung up on what any players get paid? It's not my money, couldn't care less.
Sat Jun 28, 2025 4:15 pm
Personally, if we offer him a deal which ensures he is happy to stay, we could have 40 goals in them between Robinson & Salech.
That alone is worth £10-20m if it comes with promotion.
These two could score for fun next season and there is nothing more a striker enjoys than scoring - whatever league thats in

I’m of the same opinion mate. Think he gets a raw deal on here tbh. And as you say he is a very committed player. I say it every time he gets slagged off, he stayed on the pitch for 15-20 mins for us, with a torn hamstring. As we’d used up our subs. He could hardly move but still had to be marked. That’s full on commitment to the cause. I hope he stays.

Best haul is 12 goals in a season twice. He isn't improving, and we cannot rely on him as a starter. We bought him for less to £2 million from WBA as he is not a wide forward, not a 9, not a 10. He scored some clutch goals.
I think if we have the opportunity we'll let him leave for a nominal fee.
Sat Jun 28, 2025 10:32 pm
I say let the manager decide and if he (BBM) is happy to keep him, then he should be supported by us, he supporters, and by the club’s owner, Vincent Tan
Him and Salech would surely be the best partnership in League One, if they can be kept fit and happy?
Sat Jun 28, 2025 11:34 pm
When you look at stats you cannot just take them at face value. Scoring 12 goals in 34 games would not be great if he played every minute but he didn't. He played 2032 minutes which equates to a goal every 169 minutes or 0.53 goals every game. For the Championship those are bloody good stats. Just imagine what a fit Robinson could achieve in League 1.

But you do have to take everything on face value. His facts are 69 goals in 346 appearances over 12 seasons.
I think he'll stay purely out of a lack of interest, unless Preston offers him a way out, but would the Riddler offer any more than us in L1?

I’m not sure they would be a partnership as such. They would struggle to play together.
We will be surprised by the quality in league one I think.
Wycombe got a good striker in Kone. Huddersfield have a few options supported by a lad they signed from ipswich. Luton will have options. Barnsley were decent going forward last year.
Hopefully Salech will do well in league one. Could do with a season where we look like scoring for fun.
Sun Jun 29, 2025 8:18 am
He is on a 2 year contract and signed with a relegation clause, so he must be happy to stay.
He wouldn't cost too much if a championship team came in for him, then it's up to us. I just doubt that it will be a problem.

Agree, not quick enough for a wide forward or battle-ready for an attacking midfielder, and just can't see a modern cutting edge manager playing a 442
Its a 60 game season and he is a different option to Salech. He is the second option in the same system. If Salech and CR stay we will be potent whoever we play.
Sun Jun 29, 2025 8:52 am
He either stays or takes a pay-cut. He's had a new contract so will command a fee. No-one else will give him £20k/week.
I'd like to see him leave, but I feel he'll stay on his inflated wage.
Something just hasnt clicked between him and the fans.
