Nathan Jones :

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Jones admitted his connection to the Welsh capital club, but reaffirmed his commitment to Charlton, with whom he won promotion to the Championship via the play-offs back in May.


“Cardiff is close to my heart,” Jones said. “But this now is my job, my project, my passion. Nothing veered me from what I wanted to do.”

The 51-year-old previously managed Luton Town, Stoke City and Southampton

Good luck to him at Charlton, I'm personally glad he didn't come to us. Always has to be about him and the football is dire.

We've got our manager, he's got his job. We've all moved on now.

In all honesty, he couldn't take a step backwards and come to Cardiff just after getting Charlton promoted.
