Wonder if the Newport game is home or away but which ever it is I think it could be a lively evening

Not sure mate, Birmingham put out full strength teams last season as did Wrecsam so unsure how BBM will look at it, is it a priority for us? :bluebird:

Play a full side with a few fringe players. Try to win all games if we can, it may just give us more confidence for the league.

Everyone will say they don't care about it until we get to the latter stages, same as the Carabao Cup in the past.

Agree, it’s a competition I hope we try and win, and a good day out if we get to the final, only if we win of course, makes you think though with this and starting in the FA 1st round, there will be a lot more games this season, guess why younger players get a lot more game time at these levels, need a bigger squad it would seem but so many opportunities for players this season.from the U21s

Othan than the FAW cup years ago with a weak team out and Newport not even being in the football league at the time, this is first competitive game with them for decades. I know it's not the F.A cup or nothing but still.

I've been wanting to draw County in the cup for years. Shame it's taken a relegation to do it!

Tbh I’ll probably go while we’re in it. Hopefully it’ll just be a novelty for one season and we get promoted

On the county website:

"The Exiles will face Exeter City and Arsenal at home, while David Hughes' team will make the short journey down the M4 to play against Cardiff City".
