One of Frances top teams have been relegated due to financial issues.

The owner is same one who had to sell share of either them or Palace he chose Palace clever man.... lyons debt is massive and no matter how they worked the system they were doomed.

Debts of £450m apparently.

I can't help thinking that could kill Lyon as a club and what effect could that have on crystal palace with the same owner?

They'll be back. I remember people saying it was the end of Juventus when they had their demotions but they're almost back to where they were before now.

Will take a while though.

He baled out of palace couple of days before this news it was to comply with uefa dual ownership rules .... guy from new York jets bought his shares was clever move by him

I seriously don't understand how people are allowed to be involved with more than 1 club ( in different leagues ) .
Not just this guy - our very own Mr T and of late Tony Bloom of Brighton and now Hearts just to name 2 of many .
This is a good way of getting around fair play in this country to start off with and loaning players out :o
