Tan, but hope we sell.

Tue Jun 24, 2025 6:28 pm

Dictatorship and regime. Post after post on Tan over years, I really think he hates us as fans, and sees us as very ungrateful, and I don’t blame him.

And please don’t ban me for just having a view, because you are the same if you do.

I would love a takeover with Bale and the new consortium involved; it’s his time to sell, and hopefully he wants to get away from the abuse he has faced.

But I will stick up for Tan, in many areas, the constant bombardment of abuse, it’s like we are a club, that can’t pay wages or must sell all our best players etc. etc.. etc.. there are far worse owners, and he has been unlucky, invested well in our youth, and pushed for a new training ground etc.. done loads of good things but always gets killed from this forum.

Anyway, again wish the Bale bid well, happy to have Tan involved at 25% or less, but if a full takeover great! But really don’t think he has been a monster, just made mistakes along the way. :bluebird:

The problem is that some people let their emotions take over, and as a result they blame Tan for literally everything.

No bog roll in the toilet? Tan doing it to spite fans.

Crash on the M4 meaning people can’t get to the game? Tan again.

Red weather warning leading to game being called off? Tan caused it.

Ultimately, we all want Tan gone. We all believe it’s his time to go, but some do continue to get carried away and the hatred for Tan is leading to some ludicrous comments here and there.

I know with the rebrand, and with many managers he has made mistakes and badly, but really, we can do worst you all know this, but again, it’s his time if the Bale consortium happens, many details to be sorted out there, the debt Tan wants back, what Dalman is owed from Tan, etc.. but agree with others, if he refuses a good a fair offer, it will do more harm than good.Because I am in the minority I won’t go as far as saying I fully support Tan, but we could do a lot worst and don’t hate him, premier league twice, and it’s where the new owners if happens plan to get to. But this time hopefully stay there!

I dispute the claim he's been "unlucky".

He's made bad football decisions while ignoring people's (not just fans, but advisors) calls for more football expertise.

He has constantly made bad decisions.

I don't call that unlucky.

We rightly didn't call Riza unlucky so the same goes for Tan.

PS:

You won't get banned for having an opinion and I'm surprised you've insinuated that would be the case.

I try to avoid banning people if possible. Have had to recently but the only reason for that is personal abuse, and I often make that a temporary ban so they don't do it again but are still able to give their opinions on all aspects of the club.

If we banned everyone who disagreed with us, there'd be nobody left on here.

I have been banned a couple of times before, not sure by who, etc.. try and be a poster who gives a view on Tan etc.., what I mean by unlucky is every big money signing we made, did not really work out, and the Sala subject was just so sad, and need to look back, but we only just went down at that point, so with a club record fee, and that happening that real is unlucky

But anyway, supporting a sale of the club, never saying Tan is perfect, far from that, but he has done some good things and only in my view had some bad luck along the way.

What Tan did with the rebrand was unforgivable from my point of view. The club still hasn’t healed from it. It done a lot more damage than people realise. Heart and soul was ripped out of the club and it’s never been restored.

It wasn't my decision to ban you on any occasions but whoever it was, would have had good reason. You would have crossed the line between disagreement and abuse.

I am proud of being a moderator of this forum because it is a broadchurch of views.

That extends to the moderators. We all have different views on football and politics, which is why I think it works so well.
