It also sounds as if bid is being increased .....isn't this the 1st time he's actually said he wants to head a takeover rather than just news talk.

No, if you read the article it refers to the £117m of debt (mostly to Tan).

That's not the figure that the offer was.

That probably comes from wanting it to be true, like most of us do.

Seems to me by that wording that the £117m is an ivestmant when they would take over not what they are paying for city

Former Real Madrid and Wales forward Gareth Bale is hopeful that a bid he is involved with to buy Cardiff City will succeed.

Cardiff-born Bale, 35, is understood to have been part of a group that made direct contact with Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan with a proposal to take a controlling share at the League One club.

The offer was rejected, with the Malaysian businessman thought to have little interest in selling at the moment, however the assumption is that the group will try again.

"It's something I'm a part of," Bale told Sky Sports.

"We've been speaking about it, trying to engage with Cardiff but more news will come out on that in the future but hopefully we can get something done."
Cardiff have not commented on the reports that emerged concerning a bid for the club newly relegated from the Championship, but it is understood the proposal did not reach boardroom discussion stage.

Bale, whose uncle Chris Pike played for the Bluebirds between 1989 and 1993, had been linked with a move to Cardiff as a player in the build-up to the 2022 World Cup,

But the five-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid opted to join Major League Soccer side (MLS) side Los Angeles FC and retired from football in January 2023.

"I can't really say too much but what I can say is we are interested in getting Cardiff and obviously it's my home club, where I grew up, my uncle used to play for them," Bale added.

"So yeah to be involved with an ownership group would be a dream come true.

"It's a club close to my heart, it's where I grew up. I would love to be able to be a part of growing Cardiff and taking it to the Premier League where it belongs.

"I know how amazing the Welsh fans, the Cardiff fans are and it would be amazing to try and do stuff together."

Well it’s more than just a rumour now!

I hope the second or third bid is successful it would be such a relief to see the back of Mr. Tan!

Somehow, it seems to good to be true and I have a feeling he doesn’t want to sell.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Rambo not coming out with a goodbye post yet?

A lot of negoitiating to do yet, maybe they could include additional payments on future promotions, anything to get it over the line.

Tan said find me a rich welsh millionare who would want to buy the club. SELL THEN.

I think the fans need to boycott the games to force tan to sell. He is holding out to try to get money from the tragedy with Sala. If Gareth Bale gets turned down he could end up buying another club. VT has no interest in our club. So later on we could be in a right mess. You could argue we are already up to our necks in it with the relaxation. We need Tan out and him to see that this is his best opportunity with Gareth Bale. For us it's someone who cares about the club and fans with a passion for us to be successful. We have one opportunity and we need to take it
Just my opinion

I had the exact same thought.

I also thought the way that Rambo was being slagged off by some on hear without knowing the full story or at least his side of it was not good at all, I think it will all come out sooner or later what happened, and we will then have the same people saying he acted in the proper manner.

But back to your point, I was wondering if AR may have something to do with the takeover even if its to bring him back in a coaching role in the future, or even as the DOF, and before anyone says he has no experience in that role, well neither did one of his good mates McPhail have, and look at the job he is doing and gaining a really good reputation for it as well.

I think if this takeover was to happen Rambo would be back as a player/coach

However does put BBM under pressure as any lack of results then Rambo is primed to takeover immediately
