BBM's staff

Tue Jun 17, 2025 10:19 pm

Brian Barry-Murphy:

"I've spoke about creating a dynamic squad that wants to play progressive and aggressive football. That's how I see it in terms of how the squad will evolve and how I've evolved as a head coach.

Where that comes to life is on the training pitch and the training pitch is my life, where I love it and I spend so much time.

The players will get absolute dedication from me and my staff.

The staff that I form here will replicate the same traits. They will be dynamic and work incredibly hard to give the supporters what they want to see on the weekend.

The first part of that will start on Monday when the players return back.

We won't waste one day or one minute with that idea."

Cardiff have also confirmed that Manchester City academy coach Lee Riley will join as Barry-Murphy's assistant head coach.

Riley joins from his position as both academy coach and European emerging talent scout, which will no doubt have its uses in what will be a crucial summer transfer window.

He previously worked with Barry-Murphy at Rochdale, too.

Was Murphy’s assistant at Rochdale before being sacked and unemployed since.
