Nice post.... I'm not a father, but lost my own dad a couple of years ago. He was a City fan back in the late 50's and 60's and often spoke of the brief success we had in those days.
His favourite player was Alf Sherwood.

Thank you, lovely reply, luckily my Dad is still alive (86) also a huge city fan, I sent him a photograph of the 59/60 team this morning Tapscott, Malloy et al. He ingrained in me the saying “ Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened” which in the modern game is largely mirrored by a minutes clapping instead of silence

my dad took me to my 1st BLUEBIRDS game when I was 9yrs old I can remember the Real Madrid game like it was yesterday been a bluebird for over 50yrs myself and my two sons are st holders thank you Dad
