I'd also say that L1 teams last season would have wanted to beat Birmingham more than Wrexham.

But just like the Jacks are obsessed with us, our fans are sadly starting to get obsessed with Disney FC.

Yes Birmingham were the club to beat but do where wrexham, and I stand by what I said English clubs will rise to the occasion when playing us imo obviously I am in the minority but we shall see.

I can’t see it, stadium with no atmosphere a team in free fall for years disgruntled fans. There’s a few other team around our size in the league. We certainly no Norwich Ipswich, leeds Sunderland etc when they were down there.

I think we will be a big scalp in div 1 just as Birmingham were seen as a big scalp last season.

Regardless of what other teams are in the division we are the ones with a bigger budget than most and we do have better players in our squad. If Charlton Athletic were the 3rd best in the league last season I don't think we have big problems.

Our top transfer fees paid and received have been under Tan. Every metric we are bigger since Tan took us over. Doesn’t mean he hasn’t messed things up massively mind.

We are equally as obsessed. When we were on a run and they were doing badly saw a lot on here. We have crowed about their American owners and the shit show that is.

Absolutely spot on, I relayed these exact words to a very frustrated Sunderland fan totally immersed in entitlement 7/8 years ago and spelt it out to him about ‘cup finals’ and the absolute need to win all the battles to eventually win the war ! If City don’t have that attitude and mentality then we will struggle!!!! So cmon city sleeves up no backward steps up and at em and KEEP AT EM

You're in cuckoo land if you honestly think we will double bounce back.

We're going to have an average season under this manager. I'm not expecting promotion. Let's remember his one and only managerial stint in the real world was getting relegated with Rochdale. I've read he's bringing in the same coach or assistant he had with Rochdale too, which doesn't fill me with confidence.

What we will see is the manager trying out some things which will work and other things which won't work. He will be trying out things he could successfully do with the best youngsters at Man City, but this won't always work with our players. I also think there will be games our new manager will be outmaneuvered tactically, because of his lack of experience.

I've read comments saying this manager will need centre backs who can also play out from the back. This is dreamland, we're in League 1 now, any good centre back who can play with the ball will not be in League 1!

What we needed after last season, was for us to build a squad who are more physically fit, mobile, powerful, pacey and above all, nastier to play against.

I fear there will be games our manager will try to get us play to his playing style, but there will be teams who will be able to easily stop us playing, especially on poorer pitches in awful, Winter conditions.

Will our manager be able to adjust? Will he bring in the correct characters to battle or will he assemble a team who are decent technically, but are too soft like last season, getting physically dominated, losing the key one on one duals, lacking in the other important areas?

We're going to have a very up and down season and I will be shocked if we bounce straight back. I just hope our new manager learns quickly along the way, so we can continually improve and over the next few seasons, hopefully he can put something special together.

Managing us is completely different to managing Man City's academy. I'm sure he realises this after his time with Rochdale and I hope he's ready to prove me wrong.

Did the 22 English Championship teams play out of their skins against us and Swansea last season because we’re Welsh?

Wrexham were a scalp because of the media hype and bragging rights, not because they were Welsh

Why will we be seen as any different to Reading, Bolton or Huddersfield? All ex PL teams, all in big stadiums, all with “big” (10k+ crowds)?
