Relegation Clauses in Contracts

I am interested as to what sort of "Relegation Clauses" apply to salaries when relegation applies from the Championship to Division 1.

My friend, ChatGPT, says it would be normal to apply a 25%,40% or even 50% reduction.

Does anyone have any ideas?

This season we will be governed by SCMP which allows us to spend 60% of our turnover (gate fees) on salaries - so the number of supporters we get will have a direct influence on who we can buy. Under SCMP any player, under 21 at the start of the season, salary does not count for purposes of SCMP.

I think if I remember correctly our players had a 20% rise when we got promoted to Premier League and the same reduction when we got relegated

I would imagine it would possibly be similar after we got relegated this time but whether this applies to every player I have no idea
