Do we need any new players ?

I'm not sure we need to go splashing out in the transfer market as long as we keep our players,i feel our squad is a good squad for league one , would like the youngsters given a chance .

Yes we do imo. Only area which id be happy with would be strikers if we don’t sell any.

The squad is too big and the numbers need cutting, even after the retained list.

So I hope a few fringe players will leave.

If more than that leave we'll need a few signings to replace them.

There will be a focus on youth I think. That is BBM's strength - he had a good relationship with Robertson at Man City.

Wouldn't be surprised if we got a couple of young loan players from Man City.

Will also need a couple who know their way around this league.

I think we really need to bring in a proper leader who will play the majority of the games and knows this league, we lacked that on field leadership for a while and I think it's vital

Goulash needs replacing a new goalkeeper as don't like Alnwick or horvarth left back defo and maybe a winger youngster be fine

It’s not just Man City loans, he could also dip into the loan market from the Leicester set up, big squad for the championship, also have a good youth set up, and he must have seen them whilst he was there also.

A solid no nonsense, leader in the middle of the park would be my first signing

We were relegated as bottom of the Championship, couldn't score goals and had a very leaky defence.
In my eyes, yes, we need new faces to replace these failures and make the most of our promising youngsters.

I can't see us getting into the top half of league 1 with the bunch we currently have!

We definitely need a couple of new signings.
The team is crying out for a leader or two. We’re much too passive and quiet.

It depends who we are able to keep, but we clearly need a new keeper and a centre back.

The only players I would be happy to see starting next season are Bagan, Chambers, O'Dowda, Robertson, Ashford, Davies, Robinson and Salech.

Every summer same two things one being a striker hopefully that's sorted the other being PACE fail to address it season after season. 100% leader needed

I think we need a dominant cm player and a bit of pace up front I like the look of the Stockport forward olaffe looked good in the play offs

A keeper for sure, more power and pace in the middle and upfront, and we need leaders and talkers, we might have to change the defenders around and sell to buy we are too passive.

The squad we had last season didn't give a shit most Saturdays. God forbid we rely on them in Div 1. They will be too arrogant thinking all they have to do is turn up for a league 1 game.

Let's sweep the decks clean and start afresh, the only way in my opinion

100% as he likes to play a 433 and all players need to be comfortable with the ball, will need a GK a ball playing centre a left back a CDM that can split up play, a playmaker unless he gets the player out of Rubin that everyone believes that is there and a winger and maybe a striker unless we can hold onto salech

I can't see any championship club coming up with £8 or £9 million for Salech, So that leaves him with Simic and Ette as back ups at centre forward


Wide forwards - Davies, Tanner, Nyakuhwa I am not convinced Ashford is a wide forward but he can play there. We probably need to add genuine speed threats to that group. We need far more goals !!

ACM's - Robertson, J Colwill and i think this would be Ashfords position in a more attacking set up

playmaker - Turnbull or Rubin (i think its last chance saloon but this is his position)

Holding midfeilder - Wintle, King, Ralls

RB - NG/Kpakio
CM - Daland, Fish, Lawlor - Need a Flint type in here
LB- Bagan, Giles
keepers - Are both L1, no tears if they stay or leave


So for me 2 wide forwards and a centre half to be captain.

An experienced keeper
A commanding monster of a centre back
A pacy winger
A commanding midfielder

I know I’ve already commented, but I think we should also think about the additions we think BBM needs.

So for a CB, he needs to be comfortable on the ball.

We may need two 8’s in front of a 6. So a 6 who can break up play but also help spray around the passes.

Attacking full backs for sure, maybe our young players may fit here.

A goalkeeper who isn’t afraid of the ball.

Pace on the wings, we already have the wide forward types if we need to play narrow, but no pace for stretching the field.

Agree with this assessment.

Do everything we can to keep hold of the players under 25 with potential. Salach, Robertson, Collwill bros, Ashford, tanner, Lawlor, kpakio, bagan, fish, Giles, Turnbull - all v.capable of doing OK at league 1.

NG, Ralls, Rhinomota, Wintle and possibly Chambers if we can keep him provides experience and leadership.

Fringe youth like Reindorf, Etete and Daland keep them around the squad and lets see if they are good enough.

Get a few quid for COD. Cr47, Willock. Keepers can stay or go.

Really don't see any huge need for a squad overhaul. Just trim deadwood and put the faith in what is the best crop of youngsters we've had in a long, long time.

Never, ever been a better time to trust in youth.
