FT: Belgium 4-3 Wales

Wales fall short but can't be faulted for their attitude, having come back from 3-0 down.

Disappointed to lose but got to be positive about the second half display.

Updated

Wales continue their World Cup qualifying campaign on Monday night when they head to Brussels to play Belgium.

Kick off is at 7.45pm - it is live on BBC One all over the UK and BBC iPlayer.

Wales have seven points from their first three games so far - having beaten both Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein at home and drawn with North Macedonia away.

Belgium have only played one game in the group so far - a 1-1 draw away to North Macedonia.

Wales are already practically guaranteed a play-off spot due to the Nations League. The winner of the group will qualify automatically.

Belgium have been excellent but you have to ask questions about Bellamys set up and motivation tonight.

first really decent team Wales have faced under Bellamy if we are honest with ourselves

Re: Match Thread " Belgium v Wales "

This match just goes to show how far we are still behind the good teams, lets be honest under Bellamy we haven't really played any good teams which had given us a false impression of ourselves, we still got a long way to go before we can compete with the elite teams, its certainly an eye opener tonight.

Very true, we got a long way to go before we are up there with the best.

Reminds me of our game at Leeds, trying to go all out attack and just getting ripped apart in transition when we lose the ball

Should of set up more cautious and used our pace on the counter

Doku is ripping us apart

Biased I know but is this ref only able to see any decision going Belgiums way?

The penalty was soft, his arm was by his side behind him and he moves it away from what I saw of it but it was too quick to move.

Doku kicked the ball away when he felt he should have had a free kick, no card. De Bruyne throwing his arms at the ref for not getting a decision, no card.

Brooks should have scored with the chance earlier, looks like we won’t get many chances and need to be taking the chances that come our way. Slow start but seem to have settled a little now

HT: Belgium 3-1 Wales

Agree with what others have said. Belgium have been good but Wales have been equally poor.

Both teams got given a soft penalty.
