Predictions for next week

Sounds like next week we will finally have a manager.

Growing thought seems to be that it's Ramsey.

Here's my prediction of the statement.




"Following a thorough recruitment process we are delighted to confirm the appointment of Aaron Ramsey as the First Team manager on a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season."

Tan will say: "Aaron was our first choice all along and we are delighted that he had taken the role."

Ramsey will start by saying: "First of all I want to thank Vincent Tan...."




And then Dalman will do his media round and tell them all that Ramsey was always the first choice and they are delighted with how it's gone.

‘If he was first choice, why use time and money to go through a process of interviewing other potential candidates (Dalman stated there were ‘many’).

i think the way the Mexico story was rolled back means this isn't a done deal and they don't want to piss off Tan.

I still don't see the clamour for Ramsey, but i think if its Buckingham, then Ramsey will need to leave.

If it were Jones, I think his ego and contract would have been so big, Rambo wouldn't have been a threat, so he could have been player/assistant manager.

I think the Mexico story was planted to remind Tan that Rambo is very popular with the fans, and that's the direction he needs to take.

Announcement, Thursday even Friday that it's Rambo with further recruiment announced at a later date.

Then the usual platitudes.
