When Ramsey signed, I was told that ‘he’ had an option for another year.
If true then - can this be an additional incentive as to why he is being considered for the manager’s job ?
Could it be that Tan is thinking ….ok maybe Ramsey is not the best choice ….but he is still good enough and a reasonable candidate ….so I will dangle the “managers” carrot …..and save some money on Ramsey’s wages.
Again if true …Ramsey will definitely not swap a reported £2 million contract ….for a manager’s job . However perhaps a good compromise in wages .
In this way Ramsey will get a crack on management ….and Tan will get a reasonable manager (not first choice though) and save money . However this whole discussion is assuming that indeed Ramsey has an option for another year.
Tan is telling him …you’re the manager but take a big cut in earning . Ramsey is saying ….yes I’d take the job but won’t drop my earnings anywhere near what you are offering. They are haggling.
Ramsey will not forfeit £2 million that’s for sure …. So the logic of a compromise makes sense . It also obviates the delay in the decision.

The extra year would be down to the club so if they didn’t want to offer it to him they wouldn’t have to.
He’s just been made for 2 years for doing nothing if it was any other player he would be getting ridiculed. Id rather not keep him if he was going to just carry on playing.
Great player but it will be another season like the last 2 and play a handful of times. Unfortunately he can’t get over his injuries.
If he gets the manager job he’s got a chance to make himself a Cardiff city legend, still gets to stay at home which is the reason he came home and still will be paid decent no doubt

Ned,
There is something to do with this as they have been in big Discussions now with Ramsey for a while.
Ramsey was in Santa Ponsa not long ago and was saying his head was all over the pace with the discussions.
As We know Tan / Choo want everyone for nothing, that’s not how football works.
If he’s going to be our manager then it’s been all bullshit from day one , But Ramsey will need fully banking with Coaches etc etc
Still not sure he is right???
But if he’s giving it then fully fully back him Tan Stop f*cking about
As to being Our Player NO THANKS

Spot on Annis.
Ramsey wouldn't have been my choice, I've said Buckingham from day one.
But if it is Ramsey then they need to give him everything he needs and get the contract signed so he can finally get to work.
Process has taken far too long.

Really hope the DoF role is the condition for Ramsey.
Why can’t Tan just be an owner? He has no clue about football.

About the only thing that makes logical sense in this sorry saga!
He'll be OK as long as he does get the people "HE" wants to help him...safer bet would be Buckingham but was he offered enough money to come here? If not thats why rambo is now an option to get them out of a hole they've dug themselves.

It would be interesting to know what the specific conditions set out by Aaron are.
It could really change the thoughts of a fair few fans.
For example, I have made no secret that I am in the Buckingham camp - he brings experience and good football with the added bonus having achieved promotion from L1 - however…
If Ramsey of given what he wants, and one of those conditions is installing an experienced DoF to handle all football matters within the club, without needing prior consent from Tan to authorise players, budgets and the like, then I can only see that as a step in the right direction.
With a solid, experienced DoF in place to mentor Ramsey and set the foundations for the club moving forward, Ramsey could turn into a very good manager.

Good thing with Ramsey he has nothing to lose here as a “manager”.
What I mean by that, is he could be as blunt as we wants right now to the board and Tan. Be as demanding as he wants, with the coaches, DoF hire, and budget for this season.
If he doesn’t get the above, can walk away and Tan is forced to spend more on a Buckingham etc.

Whoever it is will need a team around them anyway so I don't see the point of Tan trying to penny pinch.
I don't know enough about Buckingham to have an opinion either way but whoever it is will get my support.

Not unless he promotes purse to manager

There’s a suggestion that the issue in negotiations has been Ken Choo, who has made (relatively) derisory offers to the likes of Rambo, Nathan Jones (now signed up to Charlton) and Des Buckingham
It is also suggested that the situation (certainly with Rambo) changed for the better when (an apparently fuming) Mehmet Dalman got back (?) and got involved in said negotiations
It is no secret that Mehmet and Vincent are at loggerheads in recent times, so it could be that this is all now relying on Vincent’s ‘
rubber stamp’ and whether he ‘
supports’ Mehmet’s negotiating or it all starts again
Personally, armed with some limited knowledge of one aspect of what is going on, I believe Rambo will be named the new Bluebird manager over the next few days; but I’m not counting out Des Buckingham (my personal choice) totally at this time
I will support whoever gets the job and if it’s Rambo, I can see why he would appeal to both sides of the great divide, i.e. owner and supporters
