A forum for all things Cardiff City

Please get onto your rich actor friends or fellow rich friends to take over little old Cardiff City. ASAP!
You could say it'll be fun, have Wrexham playing the city in the 26/27 season after our league 1 promotion next season.
As I'm sure we would go straight back up with owners with a similar mindset as you guys.
And therefore make it an even bigger Welsh derby than it currently would be.
Im sure Hugh Jackman some spare change lying about
Jokes aside, this struggle has to end and owners like you guys are a prime example of what this club needs. A very good example.

No thanks.
I don't want a mega rich owner, be that an actor or someone from the Middle East.
Always said that I just want us to be run like a normal club - that's not what's happening now.
Don't buy into the hype around Wrexham or their owners.

It's exactly how clubs are run now, if there's no vast wealth being fed you'll just get chewed up and spat out. Being funded by Joe Bloggs from the local area is dying off I'm afraid. Unless he's got a billion or 2 to spare.
Also actors and sports personnel are better to have funding a club as opposed to oil monarchs etc as there's no where near as much dirty money to launder.
What Rob and Ryan have done for the area of Wrexham has been a wonder. For the community, the actual club and so on. And that's what we need, not just a wealthy owner.

Wouldn’t work with us.
The reason it worked so well with Wrexham is because they brought them up from nothing.
The initial costs involved were low, and they’ve made them bigger, and the investment is paying off.
A club in our position needs the money up front, and I’m talking serious money that these people wouldn’t have..

Ned, I was in New York recently and I couldn’t believe the ‘
hype’ over Wrexham FC
It’s massive, they have a TV channel of their own on one network and when I said I was from ‘Wales UK’, a common question was ‘
Do you know Reck-Sam?’
‘
Yes, it’s a suburb of Liverpool!’ was my my response!

Yesterday, I had a Quick Look at the Wrexham set up. As I wanted to see if their structure had a DoF in place to steer them through their promotions. I was surprised to see that their main man on the board of directors is a comedian/actor/author. Story is he introduced them to uk football, sourced the club to go for and recruited around him. I appreciate he’s recruited a solid football guy as part of it. But that’s the background of their main director.

And they’re talking about selling shares to bring in additional funds. Apparently they’re valuing the club around £400m!

Maybe, they could recommend a mate who could pay £100m now, and the rest over 4-5 years.
At least that wouldn’t seriously hinder cash flow of someone coming in and taking us to the PL.
just a thought.
Vinny would still get his £200m back.
And that’s without seeing any potential settlement in the Nantes case.
Keep the faith

Probably can’t afford us, but don’t buy into it?
Wrexham ARE being run properly. The owners brought in expertise and LISTENED.
If only we had a fraction of their ambition and experienced staff.

If the rumours of Tan's dwindling fortune are correct then RR has just as much if not more money than Tan. He has his fingers in a lot of pies as well as the $300 million he picked up from the 30% ownership he had in the drinks company that was bought out.Mind you his wife is wasting a lot on lawyer fees at the moment

We have someone who I believe who would buy this club at the correct price - David Sullivan or his son (with the rules ) .
