Rumours circulating on Twitter/X that the new manager will be named on Friday.
They say it's Aaron Ramsey.
Please don't shoot the messenger. As I have made clear, this is a rumour from Twitter/X and not me or the other moderators

Won't lie, Aaron Ramsey wouldn't have been my choice for manager.
But if and when it happens, I just hope the whole fanbase will support him - which I'm sure they will.

I'm OK with Ramsey as I feel he won't take the job without some assurances and demands of his own about a proper football structure put in place
What will piss me off is that we've wasted 4 weeks which could of been used to begin early preparations for an assault on league 1

I’m not a bot who is pretty much the only one I believe on twitter has posted oasis song maybe tomorrow and a few days ago a Welsh flag.
Hopefully it’s announced and we can crack on with player recruitment and planning the season ahead

How "Cardiff City" is this whole saga
Spend about 6 weeks, a team of consultants, cash, many interviews only to end up with the interim man who was in place.
Thu Jun 05, 2025 7:36 pm
Time for Ramsey to put himself in the Cardiff legendary status
Thu Jun 05, 2025 7:38 pm
I think this is now the third person confirmed as manager, by someone or another. No one has a clue other than Tan.
I agree with the last statement though. Whoever it is, let’s get behind them and come together as a club.

Boy we have had to put up with some rubbish from our club.....But if true.....AARON RAMSEY...He is one our own....get in there and support him...It is football we are playing...and nobody at our club as been as good as Aaron....Top man.....All the rubbish that above please.....Go away..for good......
Thu Jun 05, 2025 8:03 pm
I’ll give him my support and maybe he will turn out great.
But from an outlook perspective, the club are ‘determined’ to get back to the Championship. So they interview managers and choose the option with the least experience?
It’s mind blowing how bad this club is.
It’s mind blowing how grown men with business acumen can’t see what normal every day people are seeing?
It feels like running this club is just a practical joke to the board. It’s sickening.
Thu Jun 05, 2025 8:07 pm
If this time it’s true

then I wish him the best.
However I am extremely disappointed as I had really hoped that being relegated may have taught those running the club a lesson, but instead it’s essentially a repeat of Riza all over again - taking far too long just to appoint the internal candidate.

Isn't the Jones boy Welsh?

I think he will have sought assurances and I think he may have asked for an experienced back room which is why there was a delay. Osian Roberts maybe?

Aaron Ramsey's Barmy Army....let's get behind one of our own

If it’s true then it’s nothing like Riza.
Riza had a proven track record of failure. Ramsey has all the credentials to be a really good manager but hasn’t yet had the opportunity.
In addition he started his career at this club, made us a fortune when we really needed it, played at the absolute top level, came back to us on loan despite many other offers, signed for us again despite being offered massively higher wages elsewhere and stepped up to the plate with a couple of days notice when Tan finally acknowledged Riza had failed !!
Yet you still think this is just a repeat of Riza ……… !!
I really hope he gets the job. It doesn’t mean he’ll definitely succeed but he’s certainly done more for us than any of the other candidates up to now so deserves the chance in my eyes.

Roberts would be perfect as an assistant to Ramsey.
Can't see him swapping Como for Cardiff though. Fabregas has been linked with Inter and Como have said he's not leaving. Wherever he is though, I'm sure Roberts will stick with him.

Roath Park lake or Lake Como, tough call.

Time will tell if this is just another rumour with no substance, or if it's genuine.
One day we'll have a new manager announcement, which means, one day will be the day before that announcement. It might be now.
Thu Jun 05, 2025 8:44 pm
It’s probably the worst choice out of the 3 - so based on our boards decision making I’d say it’s definitely true.
Love you Rambo. But don’t want you as manager.

Rumours also saying that ramsey has a dof of his choice helping him .

I hope you are all prepared for Vinny

Love Ramsey, but this is just Tan doing the cheap option again.
100% behind Ramsey though.

Stephen McPhail

If only you knew the inside story in this whole saga!
It will all come out and there will be a surprise or two!

Spot On and Good Luck to Rambo - If it is him

Being do an incredible job as DoF at Shamrock Rovers. Irish league has gone up quite a few gears last few seasons, and McPhail is a big driving force in the league there - there was a Dublin derby with 33K fans not too long ago!

Rambo and Osain Roberts the dream ticket

I’m certainly not going to ‘shoot any messenger’ on here Worcester.
It’s only when others try to make it out as a fact that I don’t particularly like.
Keep up the good work.
Like you, Ramsey most definitely wouldn’t be my first choice but with a decent coaching team who knows?
He’ll get the support from the fans for sure ……… at least for a while.

Aaron Ramsey would hopefully be an excellent manager. He's no mug and would surely only take on the role with a good backroom staff. He has excellent connections too.
A great appointment, if made.
I'm in the "I may get another season ticket' camp, having not had one for some years.

Mehmet said we have too many applicants for us to look through.
Then we possibly could end up with a manager with 3 games under his belt.
Asking for trouble .Haven't we learned any lessons ?
