FT: Wales 3-0 Liechtenstein
Comfortable win for Wales. Joe Rodon, Harry Wilson and Kieffer Moore with the goals.
Only downside was a bad looking injury to Neco Williams.
Wales now top the group - although Belgium have played two games less.
North Macedonia drawing 1-1 with Belgium is a nice bonus.
Next up for Wales is a trip to Brussels to face Belgium on Monday. Massive game.

As much as I hate Leeds it’s great to see so many Welsh players possibly playing in the Premiership next season.
Would be great if Koumas came to us on loan next season as he looked decent against us in the cup.

World Cup qualifier: Wales v Liechtenstein
Venue: Cardiff City Stadium Date: Friday, 6 June Kick off: 19:45 BST
Coverage: Live on BBC One Wales, S4C, iPlayer, BBC Radio Wales and Radio Cymru, the BBC Sport website and app, plus live text commentary.
Wales head coach Craig Bellamy says he has been having sleepless nights as his side aim to avoid embarrassment against minnows Liechtenstein in Friday's World Cup qualifier.
Only five teams in the world are ranked lower than Liechtenstein in 205th, so 29th-place Wales are expected to make light work of extending their opponents' winless run to 36 competitive matches in Cardiff.
Wales are second in Group J having beaten Kazakhstan and drawn with North Macedonia in their opening two matches, but top seeds Belgium - who Bellamy's side face on Monday - have not yet started their campaign.
"Win the game. That is it. I don't care about scorelines, I don't care about this, I don't care about that," said Bellamy.
"Do I understand people looking past it? Of course I do. Do I understand people believing we should win? Of course I do.
"But I was up late last night. I didn't sleep well. Does that tell you something? I treat every team the same. I've watched the same amount of games on Liechtenstein as I have for every other team.
"My psyche can't work any differently. I honestly believe if you disrespect the game it will catch you out."
Thu Jun 05, 2025 10:43 pm
Liechtenstein have not won a competitive game for five years, a 35-match winless run that is more than twice as long as any other European nation is currently on, with Andorra winless in 17.
The tiny principality lost their opening two matches of this campaign in March - 3-0 to North Macedonia and 2-0 to Kazakhstan - meaning they are now without victory in 43 World Cup qualification fixtures, conceding three goals per game on average.
North Macedonia lead Wales at the top of Group J on goal difference, following the two sides' dramatic 1-1 draw in Skopje last time out.
The group winners qualify automatically for the World Cup, while four remaining places will be determined by play-offs involving the 12 group runners-up and four teams from last year's Nations League phase.
Wales have already effectively guaranteed a play-off place - should they need it - having topped their Nations League group.
"We've prepared for Liechtenstein as we did for Turkey and everyone else," Bellamy added.
"The consistency is us. How we work has to remain. It doesn't matter who we play against.
"Every game gives us an opportunity to progress. Can we improve? Can we get better? It's the same tomorrow [Friday] night."

If you use a VPN then should be able to watch it on iPlayer I think?
If not, sure there will be a stream online.
It's all Wales in the early stages.

Neco Williams off injured, looks quite serious.
Not good when we have a big game against Belgium in a few days.

If this is 0-0 at ht I can see frustration setting in & the longer it stays 0-0 the more frustration will get in the way.

Rodon heads Wales into the lead six minutes before half time.
The Greek referee has been awful - for both teams.

After the first 10 minutes when Sobra Thomas skinned his man every time, he now receives the ball at standstill and then passes the ball back nearly every time. His crosses throughout the half have been absolutely dreadful. Kieffer looks very slow in shooting. Need Harry Wilson to get on the ball more to shoot. Brennan Johnson is poor as well.

The commentary said he was cleverly varying his crosses. It was more the case that his final delivery is wild and inconsistent

Who is the co-commentator? She is spouting random clichés. I have nothing against the sex of the commentary team, but she is fcuking useless.

He is inverted so when he goes around their full back its hit and hope.

I hope Moore doesn't start in Brussels on Monday.
He looks way off it. Maybe he thinks he's still on his holidays.
Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:01 pm
He is on the downgrade. Against this opposition, he gives us a focal point but thats it
Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:05 pm
Get him off. There you go, he should score now.
Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:07 pm
Not Cullens type of game, he is great in the high press but we probably need a different type in there. I doubt we risk Brookes
Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:08 pm
An hour gone and Liechtenstein haven't had a shot.
Still 1-0.
Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:11 pm
Brooks on for Johnson
Sheehan on for Ampadu
Koumas on for Thomas
