Charlton are on the rise, in the Championship with a team he has built.

Cardiff are the complete opposite - and just because he is a "fan" doesn't mean it is the right job for him. Plus we have a difficult hierarchy who may not be appealing as employers! (To some)

This is pretty spot on.

Looking at the replies on Twitter, Charlton fans class this guy as being a very good source of info. So looks as though that one is off.

why would any decent manager come to this circus. we need Tan to leave before we think about progressing on the pitch

I find it strange that no statement from Charlton, Jones or City dismissing the rumour.

From Charlton - Cardiff made an official request and we denied them, Nathan is ........

From Cardiff - We inquired as he is a fan favourite, but Charlton denied us permission, so he was not on our shortlist, but we are confident soon ...........

From Jones - Truly flattered with my boyhood club interest, but i have only started the mission here

I agree; although the OP could be right, as the issue is compensation rather than a lack of desire

Ned, the doubters will doubt but both Jones and Buckingham were in negotiations in recent days. However, for reasons to follow soon, neither came off and even the Rambo deal needed late movement to get it across the line

Expect this one to finally cross the line over this weekend and I’ll be supporting him in his mission!

Nope, I’m largely in agreement!

I think there are plenty who are glad we haven't got Jones

I personally would have liked him simply for the fact our club is so fractured and fan base so divided I felt that his passion and the way he is could of been the one thing to bring us all back together

From a footballing perspective I feel Ramsey will end up on another level coaching wise, I just think he has all the tools to be a brilliant manager in time, I just hope tan allows him to put his own team in place and allows them to get on with it without interfering every 5 minutes
