Leicester City have confirmed that goalkeepers Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen will join Jamie Vardy in leaving the club this summer.

The trio are the only three senior City players out of contract at the King Power Stadium at the end of June, and neither of the two shot-stoppers have been offered fresh terms.

Ward leaves seven years after his £12m move from Liverpool. He was Kasper Schmeichel’s deputy for four years before taking over as number one in 2022-23.

However, he could not replicate the form he had shown in his cup outings, and he was replaced by Iversen for the final few matches of the campaign.

Ward’s 52nd and final outing came in the 3-0 defeat to Wolves last December in which he made a couple of errors that saw him booed by the home supporters and then taken out of the firing line by Ruud van Nistelrooy thereafter.
