Sadly they are right and I can see it happening to us.
It’s way more lively in the lower leagues

Northampton and Exeter were 2 he mentioned plus loads of smaller clubs looking for a bit of limelight.

Time to get out the 24 hole Doc Martens and Harrington jacket from the back of the wardrobe and relive the "glory" days of the 70s and 80s!![]()

Should be able to get my walking stick and zimmer frame into the ground a bit easier now than back in the day!

Agree. It always amazes me how many of our fans - not just the younger fans- mouth off and give it large. I remember being at Wolves a few years ago and a bunch of lads mouthing off and giving abuse and then they were shocked when a couple of Wolves lads got stuck into them. As a someone who was a youngster going to away games in the 70's and 80, I still can't shake off that instinct to be very aware of danger when I am on my own or in a small group at away games even though i am in my sixties now.

From what i have seen at away games they seem to be able to handle themselves, i witnessed them give the wurzels what for over there, and also heard that after being set right up at Pompey they gave an account of themselves against larger numbers and lots of old heads on the Pompey side. Im sure when the lads who started the soul crew when they were 16 / 17 were looked upon in the same way but you have to loose a few battles to start winning them. Good luck to our youngsters keep up the good work, and just as parting shot apparently they did the Jacks youngsters at the datrts the other week in Cardiff.
