We’ve never ever had one to call our style of play in my opinion.
Leo Fortune West style? Chaos but we had Earnie
Dave Jones style? Defend what we’ve got and boring at home
Warnock style? Lump it int mixer with the big lads
Malckay style? Great work rate and got the 1 nil results away from home
Slade shit
Morrison Shit
McCarthy Shit
Bullit Shit
Riza Shit
Who at the top is overseeing our continual “shit” style of play that will take us down to the Dungeon of league 2. I recall Kev Spear 20 years ago writing about the “dungeons”
Relate this to a nice cup of tea and all the various tea flavored leaves you get in various bags. If you don’t have boiled water, fresh milk and or sugar your tea is shit which ever way your stir it.

Were you watching with DJ as manager?
We were not defined a lead.
When McCarthy took us over it wasn’t boring he won like 12 out 14 and we were playing attractive football.
Warnock football when we won first 5 was exciting and at times it was very exciting.
Malky’s football was shit but won a title.

I’d love to see a manager that just plays his best 11 every game home and away. Players in their best position playing to their strengths. Play flowing attacking football. Players in the middle that can thread a ball through the opposition defence with a striker running off the shoulder getting on the end of it. Wingers running at pace down the wing to square it for a tap in in the box. High press putting the opposition under pressure. We need that bit of aggression in midfield. For far too long our attack has been laboured and predictable. Our defence have conceded worldies by not pressing outside the box. Getting split open because they are not tracking runners. We make it too easy for the opposition!

Yes watching Dave Jones. Liked to take a midfield player off and put on a full back when 0-1 at home with 10 minutes to go

Regards McCarthy and attractive attacking football. Were you at Millwall when we never had a shot at goal and Millwall weren’t that good. Had a rant about it on Millwall tv as I was leaving ground. McCarthy invented the 5 f*cking centre backs plan the oaf.

I’d like Neil Harris back.
I actually liked the way he tried to play. Getting it into the box and putting pressure on the ball when out of possession.
With the team he inherited I think he just needed more time.
He’s certainly better than those mentioned recently.

I’ve no idea what happened the season after.
He did so well when he first took over.

i roughly see it in 4 camps
DJ- 442 wingers, crosses and 2 CMs- the downside is outmanned in the middle with later formations
Malky - 4141 - dour Mourinho devotee, but very effective, but a hard watch even when winning
Klopp - German 433 ball forward quickly, high press but open to counterattacks, sorry transitions
Pep - 3-6-1 own the ball, bore the bollox off everyone with the most technical players in the world with an unlimited chequebook, the downside is very few teams can play it well enough not to be relegated
Warnock was very similar in a championship way to Klopp, I was happy with the thought of a German-born, Bundesliga Turkish manager until i realized he was in the almost extinct 1980s Italian camp of 5-3-1
Give me Warnock/Klopp any day

Yeah I enjoy the Klopp football. Arne Slot hasn’t been too bad either for the style to watch.
As for the other posts and subject. I’d like to see attacking football and keep this philosophy, a proper structure in the club and with the philosophy in place, you stick to a certain type of manager to keep the continuity of the way we play. Helps with the academy and transitions to first team football
