think the problem Cardiff have, and it’s a problem of their own making, is that by stating you’re employing an agency to long list 30 candidates, if We then end up with someone like Ian Evatt, it’s hardly a ringing endorsement of the process.
It will make the Clowns look even more stupid than they already are:

I actually disagree for the below reasons:

We are going to be in League One and that in itself will mean we aren’t going to be attracting the type of manager that has previously been mentioned on here - there have been calls for us to try and get a bottom half Premier League manager - that’s not going to happen.

Evett knows the league, he has done well there and that is what we need. It’s not just going up the divisions where things change, it’s going down them also. The football is different, there are different challenges.

The budget is going to be smaller in League One - this will limit how many of the managers that have been suggested will be financially realistic.

Evett isn’t a big name, sure - but he has pedigree in League One.

I think he’s a good realistic option for the season coming.
