I like Dave Jones and its interesting what he says, he would definitely implement a blueprint on the style of play then consequently have input on which manager can implement that strategy, and also direct the recruitment team/scouts etc to the type of players needed to continue that style also.
Then there are lots of other areas that would benefit, just listen to what he said about the medical team when he was here, so he would understand what is needed as that for me is a big area of concern over the last few seasons, way too many injuries, and long term injuries at that.
And as a full time roll at the club we would have someone with football knowledge working on a daily basis, being able to talk with agents, interviewing back room staff, getting ideas from other clubs whilst gaining insight from others in the game that he knows, of which there would be many.
If he cost £250k a year, it would probably pay back 10 fold over the next 3 or 4 seasons - it’s a no brainer for me.
But unfortunately it seems that Tan is still against the idea of a DOF even though I’m sure its been reported in the past that he and DJ actually get on ?
