Ethan Horvath

Ethan Horvath’s exclusion from the USMNT roster was a straight selective decision, per sources.

Horvath is expected to leave Cardiff City this summer following the club’s relegation to League One.

Veteran goalkeeper will be on the radar of several Championship clubs.

Would not disappoint me if Horvath left. I had high hopes because he impressed me when he was at Luton, but he's been very poor.

I was at Burnley when he made that monumental error - it was not a good moment.

I would bring in a new keeper because I also don't rate Alnwick that highly, even in L1.

Agree it's not that disappointing he'll leave.

But he doesn't even compete with Dimi or Bywater when it comes to the worst in this century.

Highly unlikely to get a fee for him so yes something along those lines will happen

Not commanding enough, won't come out to punch the ball away, ok if a shot is straight at him, to stiff and lazy.

I agree. In an ideal World we'd have 2 more keepers and get rid of both, though Alnwick may be ok as back up I suppose.

I'm glad he's leaving.

Never seen a keeper so scared to come off his line.

So many times he should of come out, or went to and then decided to back off and leave the defenders have to try and make a last ditch tackle.

Alnwick should be ok for next season. We shouldn't be on the back foot as much but his save highlight reel is pretty sparse.

Horvath is much the better shot stopper, he actually makes saves, but we seem to have squeezed every ounce of confidence out of him in every other aspect of his game, to the point that he is almost useless.

Horrendous error at Burnley. Never looked confident, body language all wrong. Bywater worse keeper I seen.

2 new keepers needed, if only one then Alnwick as backup. we will probably keep both our keepers not going to spend money when we have 2 already the news about howarth leaving is just paper talk. I hope to be completey wrong and just hope for at least one good keeper coming in

I too am allowed an opinion & I believe there have been a few worse than Hovarth this century, never mind going back further. Maybe he's only seen our keepers in the last 10 years, in which case he would be the worst he's seen.

Gentleman, Dimi, Bywater, Turnbull - all worse than Horvath so completely agree with you.

For me, I'd get rid of both Hovarth and Anlwick.

If we have any ambition next season we need to spend some money on a decent keeper, my choice would be Sam Tickle from Wigan. 23 years old, 18 clean sheets in 46 last season for an average Wigan team.

Then get a no.2 who has plenty of experience and could be useful if called upon, like a Hennessey or Heaton (both looking for clubs this summer and doubt they'd be expecting big wages) who could become coaches in the future.

God I remember his one game. Aussie guy if I remember. Went 'walkabout' in his area and Frankie Burrows hit the roof. Sent him packing.
