Update on latest at Cardiff City FC / News on Manager / Play

Vincent Tan is once again having the Final Say as Chairman Dalman has not let anymore money to us at this present moment:



New Contract offers are being made in the next 10 days to a few players.

The Cardiff City Retained list is being released in next 7 days, without the say of a Manager.

The current Manager shortlist is being finalised this coming week.

A couple of Contract extensions are being offered this week.


All without once again a Manager to Decide.

I have always said that I wanted the new manager in by the start of June, time is running down to make that happen.

Not that bothered about the retained list being done before the new manager comes in because I wouldn't keep many of them anyway.

But we need this manager in sooner rather than later, can't afford for it drag on much longer.

They never seem to do anything logically…surely the new manager will want a say in the make up of who stay or goes…after the farcical amount of time they took over making Riza permanent, I have zero confidence as at the end of the day, Tan will say yes or no whoever they use to find a new manager.

All players out of contract must be informed if going or staying by set date so its not only city have the problem of no manager several teams dont have one and presumably their committee is choosing who goes who stays as well..

I am with you 1,000% Our Club is controlled by clowns and fools.

Annis, i'm told the club have already spoken to 3 players about potentially signing new deals, one is happy to sign a new 1 year extension and but the other two. have said no, one for personal reasons, and one as they have agreed in principle with another team already. the club have told 3 they will not be renewing

I expect Ralls will sign, Meite is going back to Reading and Rambo is going to sign for Bristol City, he'd never sign for the JBs.

I haven't heard anything regarding Ramsey, apart from he wants 1 more year of football for his last World Cup

What I don't understand, and I don't mean to antagonise anyone but all I see is criticism of the board about appointing riza. If memory serves me right you had a 6/7 games unbeaten run including beaten us 3-0. If the board had not giving him the job after that they would have been slaughtered

First it was because the Hierarchy lied and said they had just interviewed 30 Managers and gave it to an inexperienced manager Riza:

2nd other than his win against you lot, he ha had an easy run against struggling teams at the bottom.

Then after this run they gave Riza the job and don’t forget Riza started praising his draws etc

I am convinced Tan wants us to be non league while he is the owner.
