Eurovision

Not ashamed to say that I love Eurovision - so here's the thread to discuss it.

It's on BBC One at 8pm from Basel, Switzerland.

Sweden the favourites to win.

But doesn't stop tactical voting....I'm sure our sound system is fiddled with never sounds good compared to others! They cut out the booing of Israel at rehearsal if can do that can docter other things... good old TW thought it was rubbish in the end says it all

You're right about the voting Allan - all down to politics.

Even our votes are like that. Ireland get all our votes in the final - they're not in the final this time though so interesting to see who gets our votes.

Actually quite liked the UK's song and performance.

Won't win and will probably be in the bottom half because of politics but it was a good performance.

No shame pal. Great 12 points. Great song sung by survivor of barbaric Hamas terrorist attack on Oct 7th. Well deserved.

Deserved for performance but my point was in response to something I said earlier? But Israel shouldn't been in competition banned Russia for similar thing and what would have happened if Austria hadn't overtook her with last vote? Can't imagine it would be held in Israel without a lot of problems but they didn't so end of story.

Paul we all know it's a fix the result so you obviously didn't bribe them enough to get Sweden to win? :P

Haha!

I actually did a small treble, for a bit of fun, with Sweden, France, Austria in that order as a 1-2-3

Social media participants.. never saw it so thats why said they reckoned it was because of way sound of clapping suddenly started and stopped not gradually.... true or not after ask Graham Norton.

Re: Eurovision

It seems that the Israeli's are not happy with Graham Norton's comment of "relieved we won't all be going to Tel Aviv next year".

Personally I think Graham is a national treasure and even more so after that comment. Good on him.

Israel not happy with anyone or country if they dare criticise them ...usually respond with the antisemitic card supporting Terrorists blah blah blah... . Make me sick their holier than thou attitude... like I said people believe sound was doctored to take out the loud boos given to the performer . And he's right can you see the problems if had to go to Israel? Only supporting broadcaster will be bbc ....

Eurovision has been accused of allowing vote-rigging that led to Israel unexpectedly coming second in this year’s competition...

Re: Eurovision

Several countries and list is growing are asking for an independent auditing of people's votes as
Under the system you can have upto 20 votes? It's claimed Israel used social media and other means to inhance the amounts of votes they got.... suppose to be people's vote not countries..
